    I worked at Brunel

    Pros

Some of the most hardworking people work here and will go to the ends of the earth to make sure the work they put out is quality. There are some very good and intelligent people who work there but they are often overlooked and ignored unless you are male or related to someone important.

    Cons

Some management are toxic and verbally abusive and nepotism is deeply embedded. Meanwhile they struggle refining simple processes and procedures. No one takes responsibility and everyone just points fingers until everyone just forgets about the problem.

    Advice to Management

The “worker bees” are the ones who drive the business. Clean up the nepotism and you will be surprised how your business and employees grow. Stay away from hiring the “good O’l boy” types for your business department and keep them running your job sites. Running a construction company is very different from running a staffing agency, stop trying to make them parallel.

    I worked at Brunel full-time

    Pros

Good work schedule. Nice co workers. Good part time. Not to physically demanding, good work conditiins nice vehicles.

    Cons

Supervisors. Leads are often incompetent and any lack basic comunication , ladership or management skills and often blame employee for their errors. Good ol boy network, women not respected. Hours are inconsistent. Pay is too low by comparison.

    Advice to Management

Leadership.is not trained or experienced in necessary skills for comunication proper training and follow through. Often excluding themselves from basic duties while letting themselves and good ol boy friends take advantage of opportunities. Supervisors don't listen or care that incompetent people are being given advantages while passing up more experienced women. Lack of comunication, predudice and no followthrough leads...

I worked at Brunel full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great PTO, 401K match, and nice office space. Flexible working hours and decent systems on both the Recruitment and Finance side. Great culture and diversity.

    Cons

Insurance no longer provided at no charge to employees. No set bonus structure. Commissions for Sales/Recruitment paid quarterly. No clear direction from senior management. Trains employees for their job duties and processes rather than for their professional development and future career path.

    Advice to Management

Sales/Recruitment are paid heavy salaries with a poor commission structure. They will rather do the minimum and get by rather than work hard for commission because their base salary is good enough to live rather comfortably. HR should focus on the development of employees and support them in areas of employee relations and training rather than people-watching for minimal infractions; no one likes to be babysat. I worked at Brunel full-time

    Pros

Alot of people can hide as management has been sacked

    Cons

I can understand why the COO was fired. Like the rest of the directors, they are terrible at there job. They just sack all the staff underneath them so they can steal the share money and keep there job. None of the directors actually do any work but reap the rewards and blame everyone else. They have sacked all the second tier management to save money and left all the rest of us staff with no guidance. The operations...
