      Pros

      One of the best reasons to work at Bubbas is for the hands on training and and experience especially for people who are new to the service industry. Also it never felt like there was a glass ceiling in terms of advancement if you chose to do so.

      Cons

      The new “owner” after it was acquired placed more importance on membership sales than keeping the integrity of the brand. Also did not support their many employees (including those who have worked for the company 10+ yrs.) during the pandemic.

      Gain experience and exposure into the restaurant business.

      Cons

      Most of your money comes from tip share so you are going to be scheduled to work on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Typically, in the form of “double shifts.” The AM shift is when the restaurant opens from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm. The PM is from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. However, at the end of your shift, you must do additional work for the restaurant that may take anywhere between 30mins to 2 hours. This is more problematic during the PM shifts as the “side work” requires you the stay until everyone leaves the restaurant to complete it. The weekdays are somewhat relaxed, with only the lunch rush or dinner rush to worry about depending on your shift. But the weekend could have you scheduled to work 8-12 hour shifts all Friday to Sunday. You also only get one break to eat food but for hosts, the order of who gets to go on break is based on the order of when the hosts arrived and then on when they ordered their food and started eating.

      Money was great, the food was decent so you constantly get a lot of guest who already are familiar with the restaurant.
