    Pros

Great Product Training. Buckeye International is the from the "Show Me" State, so you need to prove you have what it takes to sell and be successful.

    Cons

Stay on top of your work or fail. Sales Reps must develop lasting relationships with their customers in order to succeed.

    Advice to Management

Set realistic sales goals based on demographics of the territory

I worked at Buckeye International, Inc. full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good place to learn sales, but don't stay long as it is a dead end job. Buckeye doesn't really care if you are successful.

    Cons

Low pay, quota is too high. Little to no flexibility from upper management. No expense account, gas reimbursement is a joke. Getting promoted doesn't really do much for your career. Best thing to do is put in a year and look for a job elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

Increase the pay. Become more flexible, it takes money to make money. Stop being so cheap.

I worked at Buckeye International, Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Sometimes you get to sample out the products and take them home, so I got a lot of free paper towels and soap

    Cons

The "president" of the company never showers. No opportunity for promotion unless you have been there the longest, regardless of success. You sell cleaning supplies. They make you drive all over town and give you $100 in gas a month, was losing money on gas alone. Management will throw you under the bus if they make a mistake. Throw you to the wolves with out good training.

    Advice to Management

    Shower more. Train employees better.

I have been working at Buckeye International, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Tremendous support from the first day. Thought i wanted sales but wasn't sure i was capable, so they pay you while you learn, and the manager was with me until i got it.

    Cons

Too many products to learn. Takes a long time to get comfortable with the myriad of product offerings.

    Advice to Management

    More structure in product training.

I have been working at Buckeye International, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent training program. Management wants you to succeed. Good Work/Life Balance. Good Entry level position. You make what you want of it.

    Cons

Pay is low for the amount of work you do. Gas compensation is a joke considering your driving your own vehicle. Bonus structure isn't outlined very well.

    Advice to Management

Pay your reps a little better and the good ones would stick around longer.

    Pros

I loved working for Buckeye. It was a great overall experience for me. The training is really good and everyone is willing to help you succeed.

    Cons

I can't really think of anything that I did not like about the company or position. The only reason I am not still with them is because I had to move. I hope to one day come back and work for Buckeye again.

    Advice to Management

Management was great to work with and always willing to help.
