I have been working at Bucks County full-time for more than 10 years

      Pros

Good pay and benefits are still decent. PTO, holidays, and no weekends. Work with the community. Lots of restaurants in doylestown.

      Cons

Extremely political, so your manager/supervisor is likely an idiot who only got the job bc they know someone. Catty offices full of immature men and women. Most think they are entitled to too much. A lot of sneaky things go on, people have a ton of secrets, and you just hope your on the "good" side of the secret. Managers micromanage your every move. Your.every.move. You get "stuck" here bc the pay is good, but you...

I worked at Bucks County part-time for more than a year

      Pros

I applied for years to get into the Courthouse. I thought a good job, good benefits, etc.

      Cons

Not very nice people to work with, I was downright bullied. I was hired as a clerk, they did not want to train or share job responsibilities. Their motto was "we are mean girls." They certainly were!

      Advice to Management

Perhaps retraining your employees with regard to the policies contained in the County of Bucks Employee Handbook and not allowing behaviors like that.

      Neutral Outlook

I worked at Bucks County for more than 5 years

      Pros

Decent pay if you don't have a college degree, great benefits

      Cons

Nepotism everywhere! Promotions based on seniority and not merit. Most jobs are union so lazy people don't get fired while hard workers don't get rewarded.

I worked at Bucks County full-time

      Pros

      Very good insurance and flexibility

      Cons

You work with lazy people who will never get fired and make double your salary. The pay is horrible and was not given a cost of living raise in 5 years. The political atmosphere is toxic and if you get on the wrong side you will be pushed out.
