A changing environment in a bad way.
May 29, 2023 - Front End Cashier in Hickory, NCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Buffalo Wild Wings is a great place to work if you enjoy learning multiple skills simultaneously and have no issues working with a team, adapting to new policies on the fly, be willing to adapt to the needs of various different customers with different ways of conveying their problems, and can handle requests for unfamiliar requests independent of how you were trained.
Cons
The policies of Buffalo Wild Wings are changing in many ways that do not favor their employees at all. They will do everything to cut your hours and phase you out if you've dared to slight them or get close to working for a year, because they have zero desire to give you benefits, be those unemployment or the various benefits they offer after a year of employment. Even then, there is almost no way to be irreplaceable there without being a manager, and they would rather hire new employees than retain experienced ones. They are no longer giving compensated lunches to employees, more employees are being given duties outside of their training, and you can always expect to be overworked and underpaid because they would like to have the minimum required staff on duty at any point. For the cashier position specifically, your tip money is being phased out by automated phone systems, you're expected to do jobs previously reserved for servers in the same amount of time you had to prepare for your position beforehand.

Very supportive during the roughest part of my life
Feb 16, 2023 - Line Cook in Santee, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The management team there was really supportive and understanding when my life turned upside down, They offered more understanding and support than I have gotten at almost any other job every and I felt that deserved recognition. Thank you again!
Cons
The only CON is outside of the hands of the team there. The kitchen floor needs re-grouted and from what I heard the management above the store level is denying it. Get some sense upper management before it costs you more than the re-grout to resolve whatever issues could arise.

Pros
good money sometimes, nothing else to really call a pro.
Cons
management sucks, you could be scheduled for a 4 hour shift and get stuck there for 10-11 hours without a break, there’s days where i’d only go home with $15 dollars after they’d keep me there for the full 5 hours even when it wasn’t necessary. the management was so god awful i’m surprised i didn’t quit on the spot some days

Management wasn’t very attentive to your needs Can be slow at times, not the best way to make money as a server

Pros
Great people to work with
Cons
Management can be rude to servers/bartenders
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
You get 5 minute breaks if you’re a smoker.
Cons
. Everybody is overworked including the managers. They are so stressed they take it out on you . They will find a reason to fire you if they don’t like you . The best employees always take the fall for bad employees nonsense . You have to sneak food because they try to cut food cost but the way to do that is by prepping food correctly. Not take it out if your employees mouths especially when they are being paid so little
