I have been working at Bunzl full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Bunzl is a great company that offers a generous salary and benefits, a matching 401K up to the first 6%, and an employee discount.

    Cons

The Management is unrealistic, not supportive, a 16 to 18 hour day is not uncommon. Equipment is overused and run down. Management refuses to replace due to hurting their yearly bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Actually earn the credit for work done by Supervisors and employees. Be realistic with work schedules and workload.

Way to many chiefs. Not enough Indians. Recent pay structure change only benefits top management (surprise).

I have been working at Bunzl full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Willing to work with you for schedule changes and the benefits aren't to bad. Relaxed environment, casual Friday's.

    Cons

Need to promote more from within the company. In customer service there's no opportunity to advance to the next position. No care is given from management when emotions were expressed about non opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Management should really try to encourage and support employee growth.

    I worked at Bunzl full-time

    Pros

    Decent benefits and 401k match

    Cons

Hypocritical management, less than avg. Compensation, poor training and lack of leadership

    Advice to Management

Lead by example, practice what you preach, build up your staff so they look forward to doing your "dirty" work rather than cutting them down. Praise where praise is deserved and reprimand when the situation calls for it. Take some management courses to better understand your role.
