    Pros

    friendly and atmosphere was very relaxing when possible I was under pressure to get payroll done but was able to handle it

    I didn't find anything wrong in working there

    I worked at Buona Companies part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The pros were that if you started from the opening of the restaurants you training with your co-workers builds good friendships and makes your job run much smoother .

    Cons

    They cut many employees hours drastically some to the point of only have one or two shifts a week that were very short, some down to three hours. They were almost always late putting up schedules and when you were promised more shifts or tried to pick up shifts they would just cut you or call the day before to say forget it. I really like the place but I wish they would have worked better schedules.

    Pros

    Friendly staff, somewhat of good trainers, nothing much else i can really say about this place

    Cons

    Make you do WAY to much for such little pay, unorganized as well. You go from server to dishwasher to cashier.

    Advice to Management

    Get more organized, if you are going to ask people to to do so much, pay more .

    Pros

    Constant motion. Good for those that hate standing still. Cast of employees is a good variety.

    Cons

    Hungry people will make you irate. There's really not much else to say bad about the job other than some unlikable customers.

    Advice to Management

    Wish management had more of a backbone to mean customers just trying to get free food.

    I have been working at Buona Companies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    It is a family owned company with the family very active in the operations of the company. This means that your work means something to them and that good work gets recognized. They have a fantastic menu and a great customer base.

    Cons

    Other than the obvious difficulty of finding good employees, there were often communication issues. But that is to be expected anywhere you go. There certainly were a lot of "moving parts" to operations and I doubt that will change in the next several years

    Advice to Management

    Advertise. I continue to believe that Buona has a far better menu than its competitors. I just didn't see the sales. The company is still expanding and gaining capital, but sales were never near where I expected.

    Great support, most doors always open, competitive salary, you work hard Wish I could go back

    They seem to forget that it is not only the family that makes the company, some people talk a good game and they are believed.

    Do not forget how you got to where you are and who helped you to get there. I am sorry!!

    The strict rules can be stressful and discourage personality
    Favorites are played
    Expensive
    Management swaps restaurant in 2 - 4 year cycles. Good for the managers, bad for the grunt employees who have to start over with someone new.

    Keep the family happy and you will be rewarded

    The environment was fun to work in and the management was great for the most part!

    Cons

    I had issues with the senior management... the owners were very conceited and not willing to help.
