Medical and dental benefits, compensation wasn't terrible

      Cons

Discrimination against physical appearance, racism is acceptable and displayed by management, human resources unhelpful to resolve poor management, excuse-driven gossip, poor accountability, aggressive micromanagement, doesn't acknowledge work/life balance. Slow to move up and pretends to exercise diversity to appear cultura. HIGH TURNOVER

      Pros

I learned a lot and grew quickly professionally. The product, such as the outerwear and scarves are amazing.

      Cons

The atmosphere is very stressful. Very little work/life balance.

      Pros

The company has great pay and good benefits. Sometimes you also may make a bonus if you are a department manager and your department makes its monthly goal. The company is very big on promoting within. You get paid vacation days and sick days.

      Cons

All the locations are always typically under staffed which leads to working long hours. The job is physically and mentally draining. There is no work/ life balance here, Burberry is your life. We also have secret shoppers who demand a lot of information which is difficult to give to many typical shoppers. If you don't get over an 85, you fail and get written up. You also must contact clients and clientele constantly. The job is very stressful.

One of my favorite places to work

      Pros

Burberry was one of most profound and professional company I have worked with. You learn so much about the company as giving the perfect amount of customer service. Everything is done how you'd imagine, and if not, better.

      Cons

It is a high end store, so the work/life balance isn't the best. Pay wasn't too great when you're only seasonal, but I'm sure when you're in a higher position, the pay is higher.

Brand Matches How They Treat Employees

      Pros

Company name/brand brings in talent. Many of the Burberry employees are smart, top of their class and respectful. Other benefits include fruit bowls, free lunch, half day fridays, good vacation, overall good work/life balance.

      Cons

High end fashion can drawl a snobish crowd--lots of pressure to buy and wear Burberry clothes. If you like an easy job and are good at creating work where there is none, this is the company for you. They have too many people, so there is not enough to do.

      Pros

This position provides me just enough to get by every two weeks. I suppose that is a positive? I've met some good people but many have already moved on.

      Cons

What a joke. After working here a few years I can say this place has more politics than Capitol Hill. Inexperienced lower management is very arrogant and entitled. All levels of management play favorites. Sales associates are way too petty and catty. Unrealistic, unbelievable sales goals. The commission structure is a disaster. There is too much busy work assigned at all times. We're not saving lives here. Line managers gossip while they need to support their associates. The meetings are horribly redundant and tedious. We're always out of product to sell. Everything about this job is a waste of time. Work/life balance is impossible so kiss your social life goodbye. Hard lesson learned.

      Pros

Burberry has an amazing brand heritage and beautiful products, an experienced and helpful team that offers great training and generous employee discounts, get to learn a lot about luxury

      Cons

Upper management set an unrealistically high weekly target resulting in no commission due to failure to achievement, lower pay compared to other luxury brands, no work-life balance
