I have been working at Bureau Van Dijk full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The roles at BvD are well defined with KPI's and targets set out clearly. The sales teams are a good mix of ages but primarily under 30. People hired are typically of a mindset that they are there to achieve but also understand, with guidance if required, what to do in order to succeed; as a result this is not a micro-management environment. Numerous social events throughout the year that range from company drinks, to client parties, sporting events and an international half marathon are great fun. Training and development is constant, the company invests a lot in developing individuals. You also will gain an enormous understanding of business processes, issues and how to overcome them.

    Cons

Salaries are not as competitive as other companies; but if you value a good company culture and also having your own life outside of work (not in the office 0800 - 2000), then this may compensate.

Holiday is the only real downside. 20 days until you've been there 3 years then only 1 additional day....then nothing at 4 years....then only one extra day at 5....not great.

    Advice to Management

    Change holiday policy

I worked at Bureau Van Dijk full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good, smart, young team of people to work with. Lots of opportunities to work with high profile clients. The products are excellent, so you can always be confident talking to the clients that you are working for the best

    Cons

Pay is comparatively bad especially in support roles. Unless you are in Sales, you will not be making much money.

    Advice to Management

    More bonuses!
