I have been working at Bureau Veritas North America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible schedule, autonomy. Plenty of work since they are chronically understaffed.

    Cons

Zero leadership skills at the upper management level. Everyone in management positions was put there based on tenure. No one has actual leadership training. Even at the regional level they are just glorified accountants barely able to manage people. Communications skills are not prevalent and it hurts the employee/employer relationship. Very little camaraderie except when complaining.

    Advice to Management

Invest in people with leadership training.

I have been working at Bureau Veritas North America full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Loyalty, flexible schedule, work from home, minimal travel

    Cons

All they care about is the numbers. No morale. Not a fun place to work. No work events or bonuses or even lunch for meetings.

I have been working at Bureau Veritas North America

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, plenty of vending options...benefits although they are horrible

    Cons

Low moral, bad management, employees are seen as numbers and not actually people, just to name a few!

    Advice to Management

Treat employees as people and not as numbers for kpi's. Show appreciation from time to time and ensure that employees are trained properly.

I worked at Bureau Veritas North America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good coworkers Adequate resources for most of the work Relatively flexible schedule Global resources

    Cons

Low compensation in comparison to others in industry and area Numbers-oriented to a fault, even if your division's numbers are great for what you do, if they are even slightly less favorable to the company's bottom line (regardless of what your division does) you are targeted for cuts. Fairly obvious favoritism displayed by upper management Nonsensical insistence that all employees take specific online training... for activities/situations that do not relate to job function or environment
