I worked at Bureau Veritas full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    *Competitive benefits
*Great variety of professional positions in one location
    *Bonus generally given on a yearly basis {~6% of salary}

    Cons

*Open "noisy" floor plan that allows no confidentiality or privacy for necessary client discussions
*Under-qualified managers working their own agendas rather than contributing equally and making decisions for the good of the company
*Obsession with bottom line rather than the well-being and overall value of loyal employees
*Poor work/life balance; the general expectation for most positions is to work well beyond a 40-hour week for salaried positions
    *Overall very low employee morale

    Advice to Management

*Appreciate and value your employees; at the end of the day, they are what can make or break a company
    * Take a look at under-qualified managers who often do not show up to the office or arrive late and leave early on a daily basis; this does not set a good example and contributes to low employee morale

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Bureau Veritas full-time

    Pros

Nothing that I can think of.

    Cons

Horrible! I called Corporate to notify them of an issue with the website preventing me from submitting my application and was yelled at. The receptionist kept repeating that she does not know and is unable to disclose information. I was not seeking information on the application but assistance regarding an error with their website. This type of service will prevent applicants from being able to successfully apply. The website is not allowing applicants to enter the correct dates of employment without an error message stating Administrator. I was then directed to an out of service number.

    Advice to Management

Please train staff on proper customer service/personal relations. I will never recommend this company.

I have been working at Bureau Veritas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Co-workers and M-F work week

    Cons

Lack of communication about major changes that affect their livelihood.

    Advice to Management

Stop being so secretive about major day to day changes. Pay your employees more and turnover would not be a problem. Fighting for measely $.20 merit raise is not worth all of the work that is done by employees. People can not continue to produce at the levels expected without some incentive

I worked at Bureau Veritas full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits package is very good, really good and salary.

    Cons

There is no morality among coworkers and much less of managers. Lie, cynicism, hatred, sabotage of fellow worker is applauded. It is the glory to the forces of darkness. If you want to stay working there you have to give information to managers constantly, or have sex with him. No morality, it's a very toxic work environment. The way to be a supervisor is to be a liar, total devotion to managers giving information constantly and trampling other employees.

    Advice to Management

They do not listen to people with moral and honest, you have to be a liar and immoral.
