I have been working at Bureau Veritas full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Schedule has been fairly flexible. There is a lot of work. The positions seem to be stable. Diverse culture. Worldwide company.

    Cons

Hard to take vacation because no one can cover work. Impersonal since the company is so large. No bonuses offered. Salary is low.

    Advice to Management

    Hire additional staff for lab.

I have been working at Bureau Veritas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can make a lot of money because it's infinite overtime.

    Cons

Too many hours; once you start working you never stop. Eventually you get tired of working and you take the money you made and you quit unless you can get time off somehow.

    Advice to Management

Everyone wants money and time off from work, why can't big business give both. Lets all find away to raise wages and labor, don't over cut....form a union.

I have been working at Bureau Veritas full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and room for innovation (well, that was when I started working for BV). This unfortunately is less and less the case.

    Cons

Management focused on short term results with low respect of employees and no inside business knowledge, more interested in hearing "good news" than actually trying to understand what's happening on the ground

    Advice to Management

Get your feet on the ground and listen to your employees rather than only to your board. Without investing properly on digitalisation and innovation the company will lose its edge.

I have been working at Bureau Veritas full-time

    Pros

Regular paycheck. So far no requirements to work on PTO.

    Cons

Cares very little for employees. Zero communication between departments. Personnel decisions based on bottom line - not on job productivity or efficiency.

    Advice to Management

Spend a little time listening to employees and actually hearing what they say. Don't eliminate key personnel without ensuring the job duties can be completed by remaining employees.
