Pros
Worked at BV for 9 years and made some lasting relationships. Some great people who all worked towards the same goal, more revenue. There were some ups and downs but my Division and Business Unit's members always encouraged and respected each other. Depending on your job function and group, BV offered a lot of flexibility and wide exposure to learn various markets. Work/life balance is pretty good. They are deadline driven so at time you may put in longer hours but on average the balance with flexibility helped keep a good balance.
Cons
Pay is below industry average. I went thru multiple salary freezes, decreases and layoffs. I was lucky enough to have positioned myself into various departments and took on more work. No promotions...BV feels that you should prove yourself first then they will promote you. With that approach BV is able to get out more work from the employee without paying them.

Pros
Good wages, they actually give you wage increases. Occasional free lunches. Nice staff room.
Cons
Too many hours (sometimes up to 12 hour work days & 6 day work weeks) Too much work, they dont hire enough people usually so you're being rushed on work that need to be precise measurements

Employees are not valued here
Jun 14, 2018 - Executive AssistantRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Ability to change positions, locations, roles, move up, etc.
Cons
Top management does not care about employees, we are seen as replaceable no matter how long you have been with the company or how much you contribute. Pays low salary, expensive benefits, and no bonuses for anyone except senior management positions. Long hours and lots over time expected as normal part of their business model. Lack of transparency or openness, poor company culture. Lack of direction, changes at the corporate level are constant. Very high turnover.

Jul 20, 2017 - Administrative in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Certain divisions have very flexible work schedules and abilities to work from home a few hours a week.
Cons
VERY, very low pay, no stability, minimal raises, required to take the week after Christmas off using PTO or no pay. This company fires on whims, I have seen people from 3 months to 16 years get let go with no warning. This company is only worried about the bottom line and lining the pockets of its shareholders, not its employees.
