Pros
The woman they contracted to sign up our health benefits was very nice and helpful. I can not think of one other good experience since they merged with the company I worked for.
Cons
Bureau Veritas acquired a small family owned oil analysis company I worked for, for a year. Bureau Veritas assured us everything would 'stay the same' and perhaps the benefits would get better. They lied. Insurance costs were doubled and they eliminated my position without notice, rendering me unemployed. The work I did would be sent to the other locations and picked up by already overworked staff at the other locations. Meetings about the acquisition were held over speaker phone with over 100 employees of four cities gathered in respective conference rooms. Nobody could understand over the speaker phone the adjustments they were explaining to us. These adjustments impacted many of us like pay periods changing and new insurance costs just to name a few. We were more confused after the meeting then before. Their management told us they would give out their emails to us if we had any concerns, but they never did. Before this happened I applied within the company for a position I was well qualified for and wasn't notified whether they received the application or contacted in any way. The salaries we were being paid before the acquisition were near the lowest if not the absolute lowest in industry. We thought being the big corporation that Bureau Veritas is perhaps they would bring salaries up to Los Angeles market for an oil analysis laboratory, but they didn't. The overly priced health insurance costs became 20% of a newly hired lab techs net pay. Overall I find it rather disgusting that they get away with it. I really wish Glass door didn't make me pick a star. Id pick a pile of poo for this company.

Lots of opportunity to work alone, with out management interference. flexible working.
Cons
Can be a little isolating at times. Frustrating long time to sort things such as expenses. Salary is below industry standard so push for a high salary when you start as pay rises are limited. Not a forever job

Pros
Salary was good enough, a bit lower than I was making but not by much. I liked the team for the most part. Smart people and good energy. Salary not as high for EV roles as other places but I thought this place offered stability and I was wrong.
Cons
Employee portion of benefits is the highest for anywhere I have worked. Getting laid off not too long after I started was a really awful situation. I was in an EV role and a whole group of EV people were laid off. I was sold into joining this company by recruiter and the interviewing staff and I am not convinced they did not know there was not enough working coming in to support my job. I think they all gambled on getting enough work to hire all of us and then they laid off our entire group. And for those people they did not lay off some left anyhow for new jobs since the Electric Vehicle space is not doing well at BV and they were worried. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth that I left a decent job for what I thought was a better job only to be let go a short time later with everyone else. And the severance money was a joke. I wish I would have done better research and read the reviews before joining.

Smoke and Mirrors
Mar 14, 2022 - QA/QC Manager in Albuquerque, NMRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Salary is ok and four weeks of vacation is nice.
Cons
Middle management has no clue what is going on the projects and has almost no communication with the people doing the inspections. The only time you hear from them is when there is a problem. The middle management are all in new posistions and are trying to prove to upper management that they are doing their job not by communication with the employees but by overreacting to any and all issues.

Timely and monthly credit of salary without hassles or delays. Very helpful and approachable co-workers.
Cons
I frankly can point out to no cons as such. It was as employee-friendly and comfortable to work there. Even in times of WFH it was easy to stay in touch with most people.
