I worked at Burger King full-time

    Pros

I was lucky enough to get a great general manager, but especially in this industry that can be hard to come by. If nothing else, though, they were at least flexible regarding switching/covering shifts. And our store's team morale was pretty great. Again, though, this was very different from most stores in our district.

    Cons

Upper management provides little to no help when it is needed. The company operates according to a series of time and other number goals that are impossible to achieve, and these continued failures are met with harsh criticism and cuts for hours and staffing- which in turn only makes the situation worse.

    Advice to Management

For upper-level management (above GM): Please be sure to visit stores within your districts and listen to the issues your teams bring to you. Some may be out of your control, but jumping in and doing what you can (and being honest about your ability to do so) can go a long way in earning the respect of those working below you.

I worked at Burger King part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work hours were flexible because not enough people were working. Got to meet some cool people, and oh free food if they let you.

    Cons

Too much for little pay. I worked over 30 hours and didnt even reach $200 on my paycheck. Very little training and not everyone knows what they’re doing. Wasn’t even allowed to have a discount anywhere else.

    Advice to Management

Hire more people and pay more than minimum wage
