I worked at Burger King full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The best reason was because I needed steady income.

    Cons

My GM wanted your life to revolve around Burger King the way hers did but I refuse not for $8.10 an hour!

    Advice to Management

Find a GM that doesn't leave a mast impression on guest or employees! Customer's should not be able to come in and ask "Is your nasty so and so manager in today? With her evil behind"

I have been working at Burger King full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Only good thing about my job are my customers, I love interacting with them.

    Cons

In my opinion, I dont like that you basically have no say so in anything unless you're manager. Seems as though no one cares about the "employees".

    Advice to Management

They really should train all of their employees before throwing the on a board/register

I worked at Burger King full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

As long as you do not have any dreams or hopes for advancement you have steady work earning minimum wage. The biggest pro is the bk in my town is now owned by a franchise GPS Hospitality. They do care about the individual and not only appreciate but reward hard work and loyalty.

    Cons

It doesn't matter how punctual you are or how hard you work. In corporate opinion you do not matter unless you are wearing a manager or shift manager shirt. Anything below management is not rewarded or appreciated. No matter how loyal or hard working you may be you are as unimportant as the lazy teen who calls out twice a week and doesn't do his job. i worked there 6 years. Burger king corporation does NOT take care of its own.

    Advice to Management

hard work should be REWARDED, not the title

I worked at Burger King full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great experience if you love multitasking.

    Cons

Terrible pay to spend your entire life working. Expect people to constantly quit or just not show up on you. This is the food industry at minimum wage so I guess what do you expect?

I worked at Burger King part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There's a pretty good employee discount on food and free drinks. it was easy to become friends with regulars and the coworkers could be fun

    Cons

creepy old guys hitting on you, management literally did not care at all about their employees. you go home smelling like fries every day

    Advice to Management

actually give a single care about your employees and not just your revenue

    Pros

Great people to work with. Very rewarding experience. It's not a difficult job. There is always an opportunity to advance.

    Cons

Busy you have to like people I can't think of any other cons with this job. It is very fast pace. If you aren't into a busy environment you won't like working here

I worked at Burger King full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I cannot think of any, my two years there was awful.

    Cons

it's hard to move up especially at the burger king i worked at , if you were not spanish speaking you would not move up. there were times that i would have to man the boards and have a ton of dishes to do and also take the garbage carts which were a ton to the curbs and stack the boxes outside without help. no one would help me their would be workers not doing anything but i was responsible for it all and the pay was lousy.

    Advice to Management

value your workers , don't treat them like crap.
