    Pros

Corporate office is in NJ and pretty new building.

    Cons

Office politics, red tape galore. No real recognition of true performance and good team players, only those the upper management favors. You have to just keep your mouth shut as they dont like crucial contructive feedback at all.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your people better.

I worked at Burlington Stores part-time

    Pros

Burlington's Products and Prices are Great!! The Company itself is wonderful. Stockton Store Location Building and set up awesome.

    Cons

Dirty Store mainly due to the customer's and their no respect to keep their garbage and nastyness at home. It reflection to company is Ghetto which is a sad thing because again Product and pricing is outstanding. The bathrooms are always discusting worse then you would fine in a public park on a not so nice part of town. Ghetto shoppers leaving their nasty diapers in shopping carts. People letting their kids run free as if it is a Park. Rediculous Stockton people have respect for the store amd employees b4 they close it down like all the othere stores your trash in Stockton.

    Advice to Management

Roaming security through out today so that they can address these issues on the spot. And have those who should not be in.public leave and stay home if they want to be nasty!! Most of all have custodians out.more then once a week.

    Pros

    flexible schedule, close to home

    Cons

no competitive salary once in, expensive health benefits, managers tend to micro manage their employees, new hires will make more and they will give them titles over other employees who knows the job and performs better, the department acts like a stop-grab experience-leave kind of place

    Advice to Management

Keep your good employees happy, this company seems like a stop and go kind of company

I have been working at Burlington Stores full-time

    Pros

    None none none none none

    Cons

Management are clueless & play favorites.
Salary ranges ate incorrect. All part timers get 13.5 hrs max. And when the company sees bad recieves they ask full timers to post something possitive.
There raises are a joke. Theres a scale from 1-5. Obviously 5 being great. But dont let that fool you. Corp sends a list and only 2 (5's ) can be given out. Then so mamy 4's: then 3's & so one. Even if your lucky enough to get a 5 - its onlt 48 cents. The average raise is 38 cents if you rcv a 4 & less as the you go down. And its based on Sales, customer servi e scores ect. So half depends on the success of the sales floor.
Wouldn't reccommend working there to anyone.

    Advice to Management

Concentrate on gettimg rid pf thoughs who ha e no interest in the company & stop firing the goid employees who actually care.

I worked at Burlington Stores part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

decent raise after 6 months, easy to get hired, they don't have high standards

    Cons

The store was always busy and we needed more employees to accommodate. I would only get scheduled 13 hours per week usually, in 7-8 hour shifts. I never missed work and they would reject my days off even though I would only work 2 days a week. Some managers were good and friendly, others not so much. Starts at minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

They could be more helpful. One manager would constantly speak to us in a condescending manner and was never helpful. Hire more cashiers.

I worked at Burlington Stores (More than a year)

    Pros

In enjoyed the staff, we had a lot of great merchandise to sell to our consumers. Good price points, and a lot of great mark downs.

    Cons

Corporate changed floor plans weekly. Customers came in confused on where merchandise was located. Customers was discouraged on looking for there items. Floor moves was ridiculous, and generally lot any pay roll available to make the floor moves, and pulling from cashiers, and dressing room suffered. Planning for these moves hurt customer service.

    Advice to Management

I was a part of management team. But, store manager and corporate was all about the payroll numbers, and made everyone jobs a work of 1 person for a job should have taken at least 6.
