I worked at Burnett Specialists full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Getting paid on Tuesday. That's about it.

    Cons

Staffing team isn't on your side at all.Never resolve the issue about my paycheck, they're not on your side for nothing.

    Advice to Management

It should be a meeting to discuss issues with the employee before you go and decide to just end there assignment. I got let go for no reason. I wasn't even given a reason. Just a bunch of conversation about what I Don't know. Lossyou job and then cheated me out of 100.00 from checking direct deposit. I worked a full work week and cheated out of one day. This was the worst assignment of a temp. I thought Staffmark was terrible but you beat them. I would like Management to work with the employee instead of siding with management when there is an issue.

I have been working at Burnett Specialists full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It is a rare situation where an employee can have an impact and "build" their own retirement through their own work efforts. We are encouraged to think like an owner, act like an owner and work like an owner. Burnett is an 100% ESOP owned organization as well as a Certified Women Owned Business. The ESOP privilege is also offered to the Temporary employees as well. This is an incredible benefit!

    Cons

Sometimes we have clients who need serving outside the State of Texas and our scope for providing contract employees is sometime limited.

    Advice to Management

    Expand and Grow

I have been working at Burnett Specialists full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is very rare to find a company that truly cares about their employees and their families. Burnett is definitely family orientated, personable and professional company. This is a fun workplace that offers a lot of different recognition programs as well as ESOP and 401K. I have enjoyed coming to work every single day. I love my job!

    Cons

Since Burnett is such a well known firm in Houston, several candidates reach out to us and I know it can be hard to assist each one and every one of them. It would be nice if all of the recruiters were partially reimbursed for their cell phones since they are constantly checking their emails and work after hours when needed.

    Pros

The staff at Burnett was always pleasant and professional. the reason I decided to work with Burnett Staffing was because it is a woman owned business and I thought that might give me an edge while looking for work.

    Cons

Just like any other staffing service I did not feel like my needs as a job seeker was being taken care of, it would be weeks to months from finding an assignment. I felt as though I was just another number and no one really advocated for finding me a full time employment. The day assignments was good but they was far in few in between.
