Fun Company with a great knowledge base

      Pros

"We are not button pushers" - manager of a department at Burns and Mac. Its a both a tightly run company, but relaxed at the same time. Employee owned

      Cons

Really push their "Mac Culture" on you (can be seen as a pro too) Puts a lot of pressure on interns to know exactly what their long term career goals are and if they aren't "Stay at burns forever and never leave" they don't really want you. Seems quick to judge interns that have only worked 3 months in a field in my opinion.

      Very successful at a price

      Pros

ESOP and accountability as a truly employee owned company is beyond impressive, ESOP dividends and annual rate of return are unheard of, work with very talented and very driven people, compensation is top of industry within a few years, can excel if willing to spend all of your waking hours working

      Cons

Most departments are not diverse, work life balance is a very low priority, you are expected to live a lifestyle that allows you to work a lot (have a house wife, hire someone to maintain your home), unnecessary and constant fear of staying billable/profitable even during record sales years, working with value engineering overseas leads fo working starting at 6 am and ending at 930 pm, managers are not afraid to push you to burnout to get results and are not held accountable when they do it

      Pros

Good structure and space to grow as an individual. A employee owned and operated company, so best interest of employees is usually high

      Cons

As with any large company employees can be pigeon holed into particular areas or tasks, however, it's easy to communicate your direction moving forward with the company through management
