I have been working at Burson-Marsteller

    Pros

Burson-Marsteller is truly my favorite place I have ever worked, and the main reason is the people. Everybody is friendly and willing to help you succeed. I also love that there is a lot of flexibility - pretty much everybody understands if you need to work from home for any reason, and although there are occasional times when you have to work later (just like at any PR agency), nobody is keeping tabs on you if you are done with your work and can leave at 5:30. With a great culture and team, I would highly recommend Burson-Marsteller as an employer.

    Cons

There truly are very few cons.

I have been working at Burson-Marsteller full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You can learn a lot about PR,

    Cons

Very difficult to advance or receive a raise! People end up getting angry and leave the company. I also feel like there are many cliques here and it can be difficult at times. They do have monthly trainings, but I don't personally find them useful.

I have been working at Burson-Marsteller full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The endless resources and opportunities are one of biggest pros of working at such a globally well-respected agency. Decide what experience you want, and create it for yourself. Seek out those you want to surround yourself with, and figure out how to solve their problems. Be a problem solver and more doors will open.

    Cons

Work/life balance is a difficult juggling act anywhere, and this was no exception.

I worked at Burson-Marsteller for less than a year

    Pros

Just 7 months working for this incredible company was all it took to have prospective employers knocking at my door. B-M is not only a fantastic company to work for, but it truly helps you advance in your career, whether it's within B-M or outside of B-M. It was a privilege and a blessing working for them.

    Cons

This is completely normal in the agency world, but I didn't like that certain positions are only assignment-based. It's not always easy to land a permanent position within a Public Relations agency.
