      Pros

Great, smart people to learn from. Opportunities to make a change and create new programming. Mobility across practice areas. Encouraging staff. Opportunities to manage others and grow as an individual. Open door policies between managers and their teams.

      Cons

Some equipment could use an upgrade, but typical of an organization of this size.

      Pros

Really like the smart people and great working location. I find the work interesting and challenging and like all the collaboration

      Cons

A bit confusing structurally in terms of what gets communicated to whom and through what channels. Could use a clearer information flow

      Pros

Great, smart people. Interesting and fast-paced work. Good training programs for entry level PR professionals.

      Cons

Churn at the 'top of the house'. Not a very strong support network for someone who need to off-ramp/on-ramp with children.

      People Are Just Numbers

Mar 19, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in New York, NY

      Pros

Great opportunities to work with top industry names and work with smart people.

      Cons

Junior staff are frequently frustrated because it takes so long for promotions. Senior management is eager to cut staff if numbers don't add up and let people go without a second thought. People don't matter - their skill sets don't matter. Promotions are doled out slowly, if at all and usually to the favorites. B-M would rather hire new people at lower rates than invest in the talent pool they have.

Too big, too dirty, too many men at the top

      Pros

smart people. hard workers. ( i need to have 5 words...)

      Cons

they take on a lot of clients who are controversial as in anti-environment, pro GMO, etc. There are few days where we left feeling good about the people we were helping. Everyone is always 'so busy' to the point where work looses creativity and it's just about moving things and getting things done.

A venerable name in PR, but struggling to find itself...

      Pros

Still attracts smart people, particularly at higher levels where they will pay to attract external star power.

      Cons

Higher than industry-average turnover, few formal training opportunities, no advancement for people at the mid-career level to move up to top levels and pay increases very inconsistent in either timing or amounts.

      Pros

Lots of smart people. And a multitude of disciplines, which exposes everyone to many different areas of the advertising, PR, tech, and creative business.

      Cons

Massive, massive company. As a result employees are sort of a number, and at times it's hard to decipher your purpose or background to some projects you work on. There's little client contact, and the executives that are in charge are very removed from the day-to-day folks in the trenches.
