I have been working at Business & Decision Group full-time

    Pros

B&D is a great firm to work for. With clients stretching over numerous industries and types of technologies used there is a large variety of types of work. Management is very forward thinking with clear vision for the future of the business. The culture of the work place is professional but at the same time relaxed. There is open dialogue between employees, and the teams collaborate well.

The company values its talent and promotes a friendly atmosphere. They encourage advancement in both learning and career. They are very flexible with scheduling, more so than the majority of firms I have come across.

    Overall top notch.

    Cons

    No cons at the moment.

    Advice to Management

Stay true to the course. Keep the bi-weekly company conference calls going. It keeps the employees connected and allows everyone to know what is going on. Continue to motivate and encourage as well as to appreciate.

I worked at Business & Decision Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked for B&D for a little under 2 years. B&D is a place where your voice is heard. Everyone on the leadership team has an open-door policy and encourages folks to bring their ideas to the table. The mentorship program the company put in place is top notch- which is refreshing in our industry.

If you are someone that enjoys taking initiative and making things happen, this is the place for you. You will be given the opportunity to start new initiatives, and to work with amazing people that know what they are doing.

B&D is also one of the most flexible companies I've worked at. They are big on work-life balance. They are truly focused on results and not what time you come in and leave. If your customers and team members are happy with your results, you can work on your own schedule.

I see some negative comments on here for the company, but honestly my experience was great. If you raise your hand and take initiative, you'll do great here.

    Cons

The leadership team has the vision, but sometimes those ideas are not fully communicated to the consultants. This is primarily due to the nature of the consulting business where consultants in many cases are working on the client site. B&D is currently working on improving this by using social collaboration software to keep people informed on the open-door policy. It takes time, but things are getting done.

    Advice to Management

Expand the mentorship program. Ensure that middle management is on board with your vision. Keep supporting the CAT teams. Ensure everyone that is hired understands the vision and can apply it. Formalize company values. Be present on more social sites ( claim this glassdoor page for example). Encourage blogging, and video blogging.
