I worked at Butler America full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great working environment. They are the "farm league" for new engineers straight out of college, and the bounce-back for engineers no longer working in the "major leagues." You build your resume, and either move on to other companies or become a "lead" and assist others.

    Cons

There were not many cons except for the benefits. Even the day after Thanksgiving was taken away as a holiday. Their insurance was expensive, and those that had other choices through their spouse took advantage of that.

    Advice to Management

Management was good to me. Always be clear in your communication. Many different ages, many different meanings. Always strive for clear communication.

    Pros

Treated well by superiors and everyone gets along. They take care to know your interests and try to put you in a project that aligns with them.

    Cons

Not much oppurtunity for upward mobility. It is not uncommon for employees to be there multiple years without a pay increase. Work is somewhat inconsistent.

I have been working at Butler America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like the friendliness and relaxed atmosphere of the job. The pay isn't bad and cost of living in the area is low. Starting out I was thrown into so interesting projects and given a lot of opportunities and responsibilities.

    Cons

I think managemental cominication can be lacking at times and that sometimes I feel like I'm only acting as a drafted versus an engineer.

    Advice to Management

I'd recommend a clearing organizational structure and a longer more in depth training cycle.
