I worked at Butler America (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Butler has a comfortable, laid back work environment. Coworkers and supervisors are more than willing to mentor you and develop your skill set. My supervisor met with me regularly to ensure I understood goals, expectations and processes. Leadership has vastly improved under the new CEO.

    Cons

Benefits aren't the best, but then again that comes with the territory when you are doing contract work.

    Pros

Great back office support. As an offsite associate I could always count on staff from the head office to provide excellent support at any time.

    Cons

Had just taken over a contract from my previous employer.

    Pros

Ability to work on various initiatives with some very competent senior management.

    Cons

Company got locked into some unfavorable contracts for services and leases before the economic downturn. Hamstrung company's ability to right itself in the face of declining revenues.

    Advice to Management

Company has been sold. Too late for advice.

I have been working at Butler America full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like the friendliness and relaxed atmosphere of the job. The pay isn't bad and cost of living in the area is low. Starting out I was thrown into so interesting projects and given a lot of opportunities and responsibilities.

    Cons

I think managemental cominication can be lacking at times and that sometimes I feel like I'm only acting as a drafted versus an engineer.

    Advice to Management

I'd recommend a clearing organizational structure and a longer more in depth training cycle.
