I worked at Buxton Consulting as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

The schedule allowed me to work for 8 hours.
Overtime was available too but only on weekends.
    Work/life balance was very good.

    Cons

They hook up new graduate students to useless jobs in Silicon Valley for a cheap pay with no benefits.
They lie to international students by telling them they will land H-1B visas and never deliver them.
Once you get the job they will be hard to reach and there will be no communication whatsoever.
The contract jobs they use to suck you in will not allow you to build your career.
Performance does not matter and it's been proven statistically when it was shown that a coworker was 75% less accurate than I was.

    Advice to Management

Stop lying to people, especially to international students. Their future in this country depends on the ability to obtain sponsorship. It's just unethical and immoral to do what you do.
I doubt half of the good reviews are even genuine. I think you should stop paying people to make them up. Fix your reputation by doing things the proper way.

I worked at Buxton Consulting full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Compensation is good if you are a performer.
Can work with little or no supervision
    No micro management

    Cons

Very poor management, owners fight with one another and in all honesty - do not like one another
    No direction
One must find their own business. Nothing in place to grow strong sales or recruiting team.
Management allows certain team members to poach into BDM accounts - even recruiters
Management favours some employees over others
    No team environment whatsoever
Never attend tradeshows or spend any money to promote business
Have seen management be inappropriate with employees and consultants
Fire employees over erroneous reasons - even strong performers
    Never give a performance review
