I worked at Buyer Advertising part-time

    Pros

Great core group of co-workers. Talented and creative people driven to learn and exceed expectation. Competitive salary and good benefits.

    Cons

Work hours could be long and strenuous without much acknowledgement.

I have been working at Buyer Advertising full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Buyer Advertising offers self motivated, team oriented individuals a great place to make an immediate impact in a creative environment. There are a lot of great, very experienced advertising professionals on staff willing to train. If you have a good attitude, strong work ethic and embrace the idiosyncrasies of a boutique agency, management will work hard to help you achieve your goals.

    Cons

While management will often go out of their way to take care of it's employees, sometimes it can be difficult dealing with family members in management positions.

    Advice to Management

Include more non- family members in management

I have been working at Buyer Advertising full-time

    Pros

Management has followed through on everything that I was promised when I was hired. Senior Management is very ethical and always makes decisions in the best interests of our clients and the company, with a focus on the client relationship for the longterm.

Employees are treated like grownups - some work flex hours to make the commute easier and no-one watches the clock. All that matters is that you get the job done.

Employees do work hard, but it is a casual, collegial environment with a lot of nice people. Some of the entry-level people turn over (as you would expect), but there are many longterm employees with 10 or more years at the agency.

    Cons

Company could definitely use a technology upgrade when it comes to order entry and billing systems. Expensive upgrades are always a challenge for smaller companies, but this is an area that needs improvement

    Advice to Management

Take a look at some kind of a phased approach to the technology challenges.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Buyer Advertising full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Convenient office location near lots of good lunch spots. Room for professional growth.

    Cons

Poor management. Family-owned. Low, unfair salaries. Management has no clue what's going on, ever. Corrupt environment. Management doesn't listen to employees when questions are asked or when information is being presented to them. Impossible standards are set for employees. Management piles more and more work on employees. Office is dirty. Bad team environment. Promotions are given without a raise. Lack of employee recognition or appreciation.

    Advice to Management

    Retire!
