    I have been working at C.K. Tang part-time

    Pros

    some really nice people. pay relatively good (food section, external vendor)

    Cons

    horrible management and some staff are really rude and unreasonable. did not show respect to others. management is very ineffective.

    Advice to Management

    send staff for trainings

    Pros

    - Customers who shop there are generally quite pleasant and easy to deal with.
    - Some colleagues are nice.
    - Good working location with nice food

    Cons

    - Most of the in-charge (Floor managers, Security Guards) speaks to you in an authoritative manner/are rude. Have to deal with people talking down to you even though they are not your boss.
    - Plenty of unnecessary rules to follow.

    Pros

    Staff discount, meeting people including celebrities.
    Fortunately I met nice colleagues who still maintain relationships as friends.
    Central location, easy to access

    Cons

    Long hours, no work life balance, events can run till very late.
    Some bosses don't appreciate the effort we put in. There are times we rush through the report overnight but it's not used at all.

    Advice to Management

    Better planning in forecast and sales strategy

    Pros

    Not much. Perhaps staff discount although it's only 20%.

    Cons

    Hr people don't really know their job and seem to scheme to lie to foreign workers.

    Advice to Management

    Get to know your staff work before hounding them on things that cannot be done.

    learn about different types of customers.

    Store manager not very understanding of work life balance. Pay low. Long work hours.

    Get to know the staff more before cutting their pay just to increase your own.

    - Gd working atmosphere, provided that ur fellow team members r alright
    - Basic Pay + commission, there is sales incentive given
    - employee discount
    - Numerous team building activities

    Cons

    - can have politic issues in the sales level
    - strict clock in clock out timing
    - not much career growth, more of a part time job

    - better training for merchandises/products

    Flexible working time and always new challenges ahead, awaiting for you.

    Cons

    low as compare to market rate. Unless you are headhunted or in management role.
    Dont expect a very high variable bonus.

    staff discounts, wonderful team of senior management who work very closely with mid level staff

    Cons

    poor work life balance, long hours

    shouldnt ask staff to run errands for the Tang family even though its a family business
