    I worked at C-K full-time

    Pros

Some good accounts and lots of really smart, hard working people

    Cons

Senior management, low tolerance for working remotely, the never-ending hours, weekends, holidays, etc.

    I have been working at C-K full-time

    Pros

I have been with this agency for 3+ years and have seen it go through some changes. Here is a non-biased/non-skued ex employee review and some straight-shoot thoughts from a real time, hard-working current employee: - Yes, we have gone through some ups and downs (ALL corporations do at some point or another) but I can honestly say that all levels of management are having their voices heard and the executive team is making...

    Cons

I don't need to voice any thoughts/recos for improvement on here because I have already given those directly to the Executive Team/HR.

"Good vision, great place to grow, clients (and some account directors) aren't always open to integration"

I have been working at C-K full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

Futuristic vision of marketing, if you're curious to grow and learn about an integrated marketing environment, C-K is an excellent place. Hard work and diligence are rewarded as well as loyalty and depending on team leads, provides an excellent work experience with collaborative colleagues. Additionally, many junior and mid-level employees get 'senior-level" experience unlike other larger agencies. Promotions and compensation...

    Cons

The biggest thing former colleagues say when they leave is, "so much potential, but C-K gets in its own way." Most people want the agency to succeed because of that potential. While the integrated vision is working towards the evolution of marketing a slow transition is putting C-K behind when they once were poised to lead the way. Integration opportunities vary across accounts, some GADs/clients "get it," some don't....

I worked at C-K full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Agency leadership is committed to the integrated model. Entrepreneurship is rewarded and ideas are considered, regardless of level. Good ideas and hard work are rewarded. Flexible hours and fun working atmosphere - foosball, cornhole, parties, beer fridges, etc. Lots of opportunities to get involved with new business and to make a name for yourself.

    Cons

Integration sometimes doesn't make it beyond the senior leadership. At the day-to-day level, it's sometimes just as silo'ed than in other agencies so you have to sometimes be proactive in pushing greater integration. Lots of professional development opportunities available, but no formal process or structure for taking advantage of them.

    Advice to Management

Recommend improving and increasing internal communications and establishing a little more structure around professional development and internal awards.

I have been working at C-K full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Competitive salary Some really good, smart people Fair, hard-working and smart top management (the very top)

    Cons

Intensely political (I can't stress this enough) Kiss up, kick down culture, especially at the SVP level (some, not all) Back-stabbing Care more about prospective clients than current clients Top management is disconnected from the reality and culture of the agency

    Advice to Management

Don't be fooled by the SVPs that are kissing your asses. They are jockeying for position and power and waiting for the imminent sale of the agency so that they can get theirs.

I have been working at C-K

    Pros

Casual atmosphere, not as many huge egos as other agencies, independently owned, hard working, fun, young like-minded colleagues, holiday time off, puts out great work.

    Cons

No work-life balance for most employees, career paths are not well defined outside of account services or creative, lack of communication from upper management regarding reorganization.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in current employees as much as future ones. Instill MTO to prevent burn-out.
