I worked at C S Bio Company full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Sometimes there’s free fried rice and chow mein on the weekends—because you will be required to work on the weekends. - Coworkers who understand what you’re going through, because they’re dealing with it themsevles. - Paychecks are bi-monthly and timely.

    Cons

    - Bottom fo the barrel pay and benefits - All national holidays are actually working days. You need to use your vacation time to request those days off, otherwise you’re working. - The only way to get recognition is to steal it from someone else, which is why that is all middle/upper management knows how to do. Well, they do also know how to dodge blame, out of fear that they will be noticed for their own incapabilities. - Anyone who tries to fix the system is punished. - All smiles and backstabbing for those supposed “internal promotions,” but we’ve all just seen how much of a farce that line is now. - Regularly ask you to come in for extra hours and read e-mails sent to you in the middle of the night after you've gone to sleep. Then get angry at you the following morning asking why you didn't make the company your priority. This is a ploy to attempt to make people feel obligated so companies can continue to exploit you. Best remedy I’ve found is to remember that you are more valuable to a company than they are to you. The idea of “company loyalty” is a way to make it so that companies are able to get away with taking more of your time than they deserve.

Bright and positive on progress at the beginning til about 3/6 months time

I have been working at C S Bio Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The bottom line of this company is: the people who run the company are ignorant, unreasonable, and quite frankly incapable. No matter what role or at what department you are looking at, it will always end the same way because the company will always be run by the same people.

    Cons

It doesn’t really matter if you’re looking for entry level or advanced, because literally any of the other nearby Menlo Park companies are better to work at and are actively hiring for young talent. They all have better benefits, better work life balance, are more interesting (less repetitive), substantially better pay, and you don’t need to feel degraded working here. Others have mentioned the degradation in previous reviews but none of them really touch on how serious this is and how it affects us all. It’s something fundamentally ingrained in the Taiwan-esque culture of this company. Seeing (person who shall not be named) berate and throw objects at a female manager to the point of making her cry is all the evidence I needed to know that this was not a safe work environment. He is honestly a bit mentally deranged because this man looked like he was enjoying himself, and often does so as he berated CSBio employees. The COO likes to compare himself to Elon Musk (CEO of Tesla). Because... I guess he thinks he’s as capable and demanding of respect as Musk? Musk runs a company of over 30,000 employees. You run a company of less than 100 and yet can’t get it together (see past Glassdoor reviews for evidence). The rationale for why you make the comparison in the first place is beyond me. The CEO is myopic and pigheaded. He has no clear vision for where the company should be going and lets his egocentric son (the COO) run rampant with uninformed business decisions that are running the company further and further into the ground with each passing day. The whole reason why the company is still staying afloat at all is because there’s literally no other “American” company that sells peptides for such dirt cheap prices. Company expansion is a folly pipe dream under these conditions. The repeated propaganda saying that the company will triple or quadruple or whatever in size are all coerced lies.
