Pros
Lovely and very smart people! Great projects and lot of scope to learn new things.
Cons
Too much workload and not properly mapped teams.
Thanks for writing your review and I'm certainly happy that you feel C Space is a positive place to work. I'm also glad to hear that you feel you're participating in interesting client work and learning along the way. You're likely working hard based on your comment; certainly as a customer agency providing professional services to clients, the work can be intense at times. I'm assuming in your comment about teams not properly "mapped" that we could better resource the teams to support the work, something we're actively focused on through continued hiring (100 people so far this year!) and also the addition of staffing/operations business partners for the portfolio teams. If you ever feel the need to share feedback in person, I strongly encourage you to come to the People and Ops team. We're open and listening and want to help each employee have an enriching experience here. Thanks!

Experience depends on management

Smart, fun people, and potential for doing work with a real impact for the client. Generally company does a good job of promoting from within. 'Cool' company culture and fun events to celebrate company successes.
Cons
Pay across the board is quite a bit below industry standards, but no one will tell you this. If you start with an inexperienced manager or a manager that is not a good fit, this can drastically influence the trajectory of your career at C Space. Sometimes younger employees are micro-managed in a way that isn't productive or helpful. Work-life balance can be extremely challenging unless you just don't care (or give up) on getting ahead. I was constantly told by my manager that one of my weaknesses was an inability to "say no" to superiors loading me up with more work, but the idea you constantly have to be turning down work that would get you looked at more favorably is a problem in my opinion.

C Space is famously known for its people. There are loads of smart, fun and hardworking people here, many of which will become your friends inside and outside of work. It’s a great company to learn a lot from—largely because you’re expected to do a TON but that’s a separate topic. You get experiences at c space that you wouldn’t get at other companies in such junior roles—client exposure, data read outs & traveling for work, to name a few. There also is a very fun culture when you’re in the office! Lots of fun events, social gatherings and overall fun in the office.
Cons
C Space hasn’t seemed to learn how to demonstrate that they “value” employees, since the same type of review has been happening since I started years ago. The pay is not good, yet they make you feel like you ARE being paid fairly & that you won’t get better pay elsewhere. Very false. I know this is somewhat out of their control due to Omnicom, but please figure it out. The work-life balance is awful. They tell you to “set boundaries”, but the culture is very much so “put we before me.” It can be frustrating when you express exhaustion & burn out, only to be told “push back on the work!” The roles themselves tend to come with a ton of different responsibilities, so it can be challenging to get it all done & not work long hours. I think the whole company could benefit from hiring PROPERLY to reduce burn out and therefore decrease turnover. So many people leave because they’re burnt out, which continues the brutal cycle of being understaffed and having to train new people. Perhaps one of the most difficult parts of the job were the all staff meetings, where the same 10 people were put on a pedestal, only to leave the remainder of the burnt out, exhausted employees annoyed. It felt like some folks in leadership wanted change, but others blatantly ignored the problems.

Pros
An incredible space and culture. There are truly smart and talented peoplelele at this company. There is magic that happens when those smart people can collaborate.
Cons
Management can talk down to you like you're dumb... and you really have to be well connected to move up at all in the organization. If you're not part of the in-crowd (who get hired by those within), then getting a raise or promotion involves begging, pleading, and Awful pay compared to what you could be making elsewhere.

Thanks for writing and your many years with us! It seems you were a fan of your C Space colleagues (at 8 years you probably had many friendships here), but that you felt the value equation for the work we do in partnership with our clients and the pay wasn't always balanced. In terms of long-term success potential, the best indicator of that is the fact that we are growing – both with longtime clients and new clients alike. The work is intense for sure, but we’re excited to have also celebrated our 100th hire this year to help make a difference in workload. We’re now about 350 people in our U.S. offices which is exciting. We need to always work on Show The Love as one of our core values – expressing our deep appreciation, celebrating our accomplishments (including financial rewards). Your candid assessment is motivation for us to always do better, so thank you!

Most inspiring and energizing place I've ever worked
May 25, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
C Space is a company that is always evolving, growing, transforming the way we do business (and the way our clients do business) - and employees in all roles, at all levels, have a voice in shaping our future. You are surrounded by passionate, smart, caring people who help you learn and grow. It's the most inspiring, energizing place I've ever worked. We allow for people to feel ownership of the work, and our careers, and we have some fun along the way (and there is on-site lunchtime yoga and meditation for when we need some balance). :)
Cons
When we get resource-constrained (which happens during peaks of growth when we can't hire new talent fast enough), we can get grouchy and stretched. ;)

Thank you for your review, and more importantly, for dedicating over 10 years of your career to making C Space the place that it is today! Given your tenure I’m not surprised, but still so happy to hear that you know and feel our voices shape not only the direction of our business, but the way our clients do business as well. We certainly have had the good fortune of growing so quickly that we can't find and hire people fast enough to fuel our expansion. Although it’s a good problem to have, it’s during these stretches that we’re extra grateful for the wonderful opportunities to recharge through wellness benefits like on-site yoga and meditation. Thank you again for your feedback! It's employees like you that make C Space great. We certainly hope to make you proud for years to come.

Good overall experience gained working here. One is constantly pushed to new limits, which is a tremendous way to hone on skills. Working with very smart people is also a bonus.
Cons
Overworked, underpaid. You have to get 'lucky' with where you are placed in the company, who you report to, etc. in order to get ahead. Would not recommend this place to anyone with an established career. This is solely a good place to start, which is evident by the above average turnover rate. Revolving door is how many would describe it. Low wages is the main reason the door is forever revolving.

Awesome place to work if you're looking to grow and make your mark
Jun 14, 2018 - Senior Consultant in Boston, MARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You get to work with really smart and passionate people who are great to work with. A lot of agency environments are really cold or toxic, and I've never felt as supported and embraced as I have at C Space. The culture really lives their values, and celebrates awesome work. Its a really exciting time of transformation and growth in the company's history, which creates a lot of awesome opportunities for ambitious and talented employees who are able to embrace change and are excited about doing something bold and different. Senior leadership is also very invested in developing talent, and hiring/promoting from within.
Cons
Change is uncomfortable, and C Space is going through a lot of it right now. For long time employees that struggle with this new ambiguity and change, this is rocky period. As an introvert, entering the company and getting to know people was a little jarring. Expect a lot of extroverted personalities, and a LOT of icebreakers. Hot tip for new hires: Always have a "fun fact" in your back-pocket during the first few weeks so you aren't caught off-guard. Compensation could be better, especially for entry level roles - and I worry this inhibits our ability to attract top talent.

Thanks for the thoughtful and specific feedback. We really appreciate the comments about our values, our warm and supportive culture focused on development, and the incredible opportunities in our work. I also really value your input on what it can feel like as an introvert; we definitely need all personality types, and are working hard to attract and grow a more diverse and inclusive culture. Paying fairly for new talent, and across the board is a continued focus, particularly in this market. Change is both exciting and hard – you’re right – and we need our talent more than ever to partner with leadership as we all jump head first into the future! Thank you for taking the time to write, and for your years of service. We hope you'll stay and continue to grow here!
