    Pros

    Cons

Have to work in a freezer for plenty of hours

I worked at C&S Wholesale Grocers full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great training
They offer a "Leadership" program that is an excellent opportunity for training and advance within the company, would recommend if you can get in this program.
Made a lot of friends there, nice associates for the most part
    401k Matching

    Cons

Clear divide between upper-management and associates
Upper-management shows no appreciation for hard work, staying late/working on weekends
Black out days for vacation makes it nearly impossible to take a vacation
Not a lot of room for growth if you aren't apart of the leadership program
Work life balance is non existent
    Drastically underpaid

C&S is a good place to start a career, I started right after college and stayed for 2 years, the training is excellent. However, they take complete advantage of you and make promises they never keep. The turnover was EXTREMELY high while I worked there because no one was happy.

    Advice to Management

Have work events, connect with the associates.
Be flexible, I worked at C&S for 2 years and never got a vacation because I couldn't get it approved.
A large issue I had with management was that they hadn't bought in 10+ years and weren't understanding when issues arose.

    Pros

Work alongside some good people since you are with them more than your family.

    Cons

You have no work life balance. They run 18 hour shifts and expect people to keep a smile on their face. Terrible environment. Disconnect from corporate and warehouse. Don’t ever become a salary supervisor they will take advantage of you and blame you for everything.

    Advice to Management

Say you care about employees but drive them into the ground at the warehouse level.

U meet alot of good people. Hard workers

    Cons

    Advice to Management

The Only people who are going to work for 10.10. Are the ones who owe child support have legal problems or who are just on drugs...you start at 10.10 3am I'm at 19.00 or 20.00 if it's a long shift till 9am I'll end up back at 10.10 so my hard work goes to waste. NO ONE SHOULD BE TREATED LIKE THIS..U BASICALLY CANT USE THE BATHROOM EITHER....
