I have been working at C3 Consulting full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits, lots of internal classes, nice office, you get lots of feedback

    Cons

Consultant utilization goals are unsustainable leading to lots of disappointment; comp plans are unclear; they pay you just enough but not any more. What is valued in the firm keeps changing.

    Advice to Management

Decide what kind of consulting company you want to be. CEO seems antsy--not in a good way.

I worked at C3 Consulting (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good reputation and credibility in the industry for the bread and butter of their business- project management and business analysis roles.

    Cons

Just had a round off layoffs at the company early Q2 2017. Although I was not apart of this, I left much earlier, it is astonishing that the company would cut nearly 10% of its workforce. This is not surprising to me at all and I even saw this when I left. The company is trying to grow more than what they are equipped with doing, both financially and structurally. It simply cannot respond to the company they are trying to be. They are even marketing themselves to prospective candidates differently than who they are.

    Advice to Management

Stick to what you are good at and stop trying to defy gravity by changing your business strategy in one night. You cannot grow and do this all at once. Be more transparent to your consultants- there is a huge gap with this with the immediate managers and staff. More senior management with the company needs to go- they have been with the company since the beginning and c3 cannot grow into who they want to be with them there.

    Pros

C3 is a great company. They provide excellent opportunities for growth and really push their employees to achieve their full potential.

    Cons

C3 is a small organization so the corporate culture isn't large. As this company continues to grow I see many opportunities. Right now it is easy to advance to the top.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great of pushing the envelope to offer really great consulting services. This company has such great potential.

    Pros

c3 is a great place to work! What else can I say? They are truly dedicated to the people responsible for making change happen...that includes clients, employees, and those in the community.

    Cons

It's hard to come up with cons. They are definitely growing fast and need to be vigilant so as not to lose the amazing culture they've built.

    Advice to Management

Management should continue to remain accessible to all levels within the organization and continue building their professional development program.

Outstanding culture, with a leadership that understands and encourages work/life balance. The company is dedicated to the personal development of their employees. Assignments are challenging, but the support is always available.

I have been working at C3 Consulting full-time

    Pros

Great culture, great CEO. Lots of opportunity for training and professional development.

    Cons

c3 prides themselves on being a management consulting firm. However, you will quickly realize it is very staff augementation focused. Don't be misled! The fun, strategic jobs are for the VP's and on up. Every other position is just the cash cow for the company. They will pride themselves of being the number one consulting firm in a Nashville, and that can recruit top talent from Big 4 firms. However, their business model is set up for these staff aug roles- that is how to company makes its money! No vertical mobility at all. Even though you may be promoted, the job complexity is still the same across the organization, and it is by no means complex and challenging.

    Advice to Management

Transparency is lacking within the organization. Don't mislead candidates into thinking they are up for some big, channeling projects. Focus on the truth of the top business opportunities.
