I have been working at CA Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The benefits are great!
    Work life balance is great!

    Cons

There are many times when middle management's ideas of how much can be done are very much out of line with what can actually get done in any given amount of time. I know they are supposed to push us and always expect more, but there is a large disconnect. Luckily we only really had to deal with this directly a few times a year.
It can also be very difficult to move around within the company.

I worked at CA Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Compensation, challenging and high paced work environment, 401K match and ability to do many things inside of one job function

    Cons

Total Lack of female executives and advocates (making it a good old boy culture .. every day), very frequent layoffs for cost cutting and losing skills (layoffs are 2-4 times a year, some people even get laid off before they have made it 1 year), but then the people left have 3 jobs to do

    Advice to Management

Address your gender pay issues. Consider employee contributions and roles before layoffs, mandate diversity and bias training for all managers, Directors, and Sr. directors and VPs. Eliminate CA world- it is a low level user event. Everyone knows this except the CMO.
