Floundering without direction or even a clue

There are some intelligent and hard working people that work here - well...until they find a different job
Cons
The company is bleeding talent. The most talented are leaving this company in droves primarily due to incompetent and entrenched upper management. Most employees are frightened for their positions and everybody seems to be looking over their shoulder as they frantically send out resumes trying to get out of CACI before they get laid off. CACI uses their people as a budget balancing tool...they do not see people as a resource, merely as a number. Instead of keeping talent, when a contract is finished, so are you. I've seen them eliminate entire business groups - 100's of people - without a second thought to the individuals let go - and many have gone to other companies which in turn have taken business from CACI.....no though or foresight as all at work in their decisions. Their claim of 'ever vigilant' is a joke...they don't have a clue what's going on in this company and the dumb decisions from their top heavy hierarchy. They recently became of 'those' companies that don't pay out 401-K matching funds until December.....this negates the advantages of dollar cost averaging that is one of the best tools a smart long term investor has to leverage - but they don't care about that....and guess when they decide to have the bulk of their layoffs....yeah..pretty obvious advantage to that.....this company finds the ethical and moral boundary of doing business and skates the edge like it was a razor.....pretty much a sleazebag company.

Pros
*There's plenty of work to do.
Cons
*No bonuses *No TDYs *Less driving and fieldwork due to COVID-19 means more phone calls and report writing *Upper management doesn't seem to care how much their field staff is burned out. There have been no positive changes implemented since late 2019. *Wages are being capped for some people who have been working a long time.

Rewarding work within NSIS sector
Mar 31, 2020 - User Experience Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The mission that drives CACI's National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector company is incredibly unique. The purpose of our work unites everyone to work together as a team to provide the best software engineering services to protect our nation and save lives.
Cons
CACI is continuing to grow but acquisitions can slow down some organizational processes. I do see upper management being receptive to this feedback already and doing all they can to improve the process.

Only if you have no other option

None at all to speak of.
Cons
Absolutely the worst place I've ever worked. Terrible culture. Horrible and incompetent upper management. Even great employees are not valued at all and treated like crap. No one should have to work at this hell hole.

Pros
The pay was great and associates are great.
Cons
The con was the management. I would stay away from the Chesapeake Office. Management is horrible. The upper management is/was aware of the mistreatment of employees and does/did nothing about it. Some of the management is involved in the unfair treatment of the associates and does nothing about it. I'm not a disgruntle employee. It was a learning experience.. money isn't everything.

Extraordinary if you're in the right place

It all depends on which division you end up working for. My particular division was made up of bright, educated, and personable managers who cared about their employees. I received significant recognition for the work I performed and never felt like I was mistreated by upper level management. In fact, the most senior managers (senior and executive VPs) paid a lot more attention to me than I would have ever expected! I was paid the highest compensation I could receive at my level, though management wished they could have paid me more. They more than compensated with company paid training (foreign language and grad school) and cash/gift bonuses. It was a great place to work and was extremely difficult to leave for a new opportunity.
Cons
I've heard nightmare stories about other divisions, so it's all in where you end up. The only downside was apathetic admin/HR support and some lower level backbiting, but that's pretty much the same everywhere.

Pros
Flexible hours and friendly coworkers
Cons
Upper management is filled with too many people who have never touched a background investigation and doubt care to understand the process.

Great Company for Upper Management and Good Ol' Boys Network

You get a paycheck. You can work from home sometimes.
Cons
There are so many cons I don't know where to begin. Highly skilled, dedicated support staff are treated like garbage. You are expected to work 10-20 hours or more per week without any type of compensation, recognition, or any hope of a raise or promotion. The only incentive you are given is that you still have a job. The hardest workers are punished with additional work while there is no accountability for those who are uncaring, lazy and incompetent. Policy and procedure continually become more cumnbersome over the years while staff is continually decreased through regular layoffs and high turnover. Policy and procuedure are created by upper management who have never done the actual work without ever seeking input from the workers. When workers attempt to streamline processes, they are told ny management that there are not enough resources to streamline. Workers have been informed over the past year that there will be no raises or bonuses while VPs and Directors continue to collect huge bonuses and receive even higher promotions and titles while winning no new business, continually laying off workers. Rampant cronyism and conflicts of interest by upper managementerest by upper managementerest by upper management are flaunted. There is not enough space here to describe all the problems with this company. I have stayed on for 5 years being told that things will get better but they only get worse and worse.
