A paycheck with bureaucracy, stinginess, and word service

Great co-workers: I like my team a lot. Decent health insurance: Everything I need and no complaints. Good work/life balance: I've worked over 40 hours a week maybe 10 times in the last 6 years.
Cons
Lack of salary increases/incentive: There's been a freeze on salary increases from 2013-2015 (save for promotions). I've completed contract work that was above and beyond my responsibilities and received no bonus pay or salary increase. Ineffective company policies: As an example, CACI announced a laptop upgrade initiative that would upgrade/replace all employee computers with XP in 2011. I finally got mine about 6 months ago. Our government clients had their machines ready to go before we did and CACI is a tech firm. That's just sad. Precarious industry climate: The government has been awarding contracts to small businesses and cutting overall contract costs more and more over the last 4 years and my group in CACI has been feeling it. Many hard working employees with with valuable skills have been laid off and I worry that I could be next.

CACI makes work harder for its employees and security is a nightmare
Mar 14, 2022 - Systems Engineer in Austin, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Most subsidiaries have great benefits under CACI - Hybrid and remote opportunities - Time to grow and gain experience - Flexible work life balance allows you to succeed at home and at work as long as tasks are completed.
Cons
- Logging in for work his hidden behind at least 4 different login methods, if one breaks or you're idle on another screen, you have to start all over. - CACI security teams do no value their employees which make nightmare stories of waiting for clearance transfer and read-ons a reality. - Recruiters and hiring managers work together to bring you in as low as possible.

Typical Defense Contracting Company

They try to do what they can to keep you if contracts do not get renewed. Large company with decent benefits but not the best. Some projects want you to work just 40 hours so the work life balance is great. Not true for all projects however.
Cons
They keep taking away benefits and raises in efforts to stay competitive.

Great work life balance is very good. As long as you get your work done, you can take the time off that you need to take care of personal needs. I really enjoyed working with my team. They were a very supportive group.
Cons
There isn't much opportunity for upward mobility in the company. If you are very ambitious and career development is important to you, this may not be the best place for you.
