I have been working at CAL POLY part-time

    Pros

I work as a student assistant on a project, and I love it! I get to pick my own hours, and it is really worthwhile work.

    Cons

There is a lot of paperwork to fill out. After getting the position, I'd block off half a day for running around campus getting signatures for your paperwork.

  3. "Instructional Student Assistant"

    Recommends

    Pros

-Relatively easy work, since you only grade for the classes that you have done well in/are qualified for
-Only a few hours a week for when I worked, which was perfect since I also needed to focus on my classes
-There are opportunities to grade for multiple professors if you want more hours

    Cons

-Depending on the class, grading is often quite boring. As a college student however this is one of the better jobs you can get to work while going to school as the work feels just like another homework assignment.
