I worked at CAL Poly Pomona part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's on campus. My supervisor was very flexible with our class schedules and gave us extra time off during midterms and finals. Gained experience using Microsoft Access and Excel.

    Cons

Low pay but it's to be expected. Some jobs may not have transferable skills for when you graduate and enter the professional workforce.

I have been working at CAL Poly Pomona part-time

    Pros

The school really supports its student workers. They're flexible with hours too.

    Cons

can't complain about a student job that's flexible, but I'd say the most difficult process is getting hired. The paperwork and process is tedious.

I worked at CAL Poly Pomona part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule for students enrolled at Cal Poly Pomona. Great, enthusiastic staff to work alongside. Gave me the experience and confidence needed to start my career.

    Cons

There were very few downsides to this position, at most I could say that a few of my fellow Student Assistants weren't as enthusiastic as they could have been, but that by no fault of the IT staff.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! It was a privilege and a honor to work as a student assistant at Cal Poly Pomona.
