    I have been working at CAM Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The biggest one for me is flexibility and autonomy. The company doesn't believe in micro-management. There is an opportunity to make a difference here, as they are always looking for feedback and new ideas from employees at all levels to both improve their services, and to make the company a good place to work. If you show you are capable of taking on additional responsibility, you can move up in the company both in title and compensation.

    Cons

    No 401k offered to employees. Headquarters is in a good location, but the building lacks windows.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on the path you are on - trying to improve and grow, and focusing on employees.

    Pros

    Fair pay, paid vacation and holidays. Open to new ideas and input from employees. Striving to be a leader in the industry.

    Cons

    Many of the systems are not user friendly. Some of the ideas are implemented before they are completely flushed out. Too many meetings.

    Advice to Management

    Don't get too many projects going at one time. Don't over complicate a simple business.

    Pros

    No pros, you might meet a few great people, if you or them can last that long there. This company chews people up and spits them out.

    Cons

    Everything here is a con, from the president to all the contracts. They take advantage of all of these hard working legal immigrant workers and screw them over every chance possible. And they actively seeking out ways to screw their clients.

    Advice to Management

    Perform a military coup and oust President David Herrera. He is literally the worst human ever, he actually believes he knows everything and that he controls everything. When in fact, it is all HIS fault for every single failure the company endures. Every single contract lost is due to his inability to perform even the basic job duties. And he makes all the employees lie to every single client. They have maybe a total of 20 in-house labor employees. As they have been found guilty of labor laws and workers comp issues, they can no longer afford to have in house employees. They set up immigrant workers with their "own" companies. Then take over 60% of the contract to be the middle man, in fact they hire area managers and account managers who have little to NO experience in the respective divisions to manage these subcontractors. Then to top it off, David Herrera pulls another great one over the subcontractors, in the winter, he does a "winter reduction", he reduces the pay outs to all landscape subcontractors by 25%-35%, and he himself pockets the money. We are talking about $20k - $35k per month for 4-5 months every single year.

       What a joke of a little little man. The hispanic uncle tom.

    Pros

    The schedule is overall flexible, and you get to work with a lot of nice people. Salaries are decent for admins and not so good for middle management.

    Cons

    The company is run by the most egocentric person I've ever met. He believes he knows it all, and the company has been going downhill for many years. The President only cares about his personal benefits, which are a lot.

    Advice to Management

    It doesn't really matter what advice you could give them and it doesn't really matter what management can do. At the end of the day, the president is the one making all poor decisions.

    Pros

    Sporting Events used to reel in new victims (clients).

    Cons

    Everything about this company starting with its President David Herrera is horrible.

    Advice to Management

    Advice to Owners: change the person that is at the head of this company, take care of your employee's & reward internally.

    Pros

    Most employees are young, energetic and fun to work with. The office is conveniently located across the street from the mall and close to the 405. Occasionally management treats office employees to lunch.

    Cons

    The office manager. People are Constantly quitting or getting fired. What does that tell you, I rest my case. Politics and backstabbing at its finniest. I feel sorry for the handful of decent people who still work there.
    If you are looking for a stable job where you will be valued. Or a company to work for well past tomorrow look elsewhere, Run.

    Advice to Management

    Its OK to make mistakes, Its not OK to keep making the same mistakes and not improving your weak areas. Value and respect your current employees otherwise you will continue seeing the same trend. Implement a new office environment and fix your weakest area (office manager).

    Pros

    The company has employee incentive programs, health benefits, an awesome CEO, and an intelligent President. The company changed their program which makes searching for information easier to aid customer service. The company has a middle management layer that helps the customers (property managers) supervise their maintenance on their properties.

    Cons

    The main office is located under the 405 freeway where bums and drug addicts like to hide. The current office manager is a pain to work under, so if you are applying for an admin position, run. The same new program that was supposed to make everyone's job easier is messing up on billing and is still being worked on. The company pays their employees equal to lower than average salaries, so if you have a degree, especially a masters, negotiate high.

    Advice to Management

    Hire an experienced office manager with great HR and management skills and fire your current one, please, before your whole admin staff quits on you.

    Pros

    There is energy and excitement due to the constant change that is slowly starting to transform the company into a strong force in the industry again.

    Cons

    There are lots of new faces, so it takes time to know your co-workers. Some of the systems are outdated, but at least they're being reevaluated.

    Advice to Management

    Don't give up and keep finding and hiring great people!

    Cons

    Worse company ever! President should pay more attention to his right hand man who does not know anything. Learn to listen to your employees!

    Advice to Management

    Not every employee is a snake just like all employees are not loyal. Learn to see the difference or your going to lose alot of valueable employees that could of taken this company to the top!
