    Pros

Flexibility, working in an environment where education, compassion and intelligence are encouraged. Some of the best human beings on the plant work for CAMH and I was proud to be a member of this organization. The work CAMH does has meaning and influence on a daily basis. This is an organization which surpasses the standards it sets for itself, and provides a level of care not matched anywhere else in mental health. CAMH is simply an extraordinary organization with wonderful clients and employees.

    Cons

Oscassional vicarious traumas, shift work, lack of advancement unless you complete a significant level of education (e.g. If you have not completed a PhD your opportunities can be limited in certian fields).

    Advice to Management

Shift work can challenging. Sometimes there is a lack of work/life balance as a result of the stresses of departmental demands. Other than that keep doing what you are doing. This is the best company I have ever worked for and I miss being a CAMHer.

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at CAMH full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay is higher than other hospitals

    Cons

They don't care about you, the employee, only how you can make them look good.
They give you a sense of false security.

    Advice to Management

Think about the employees that work under you. We do all the work and get no credit, no appreciation, no thanks. Only 1 out of 10 managers know what they are doing WAKE UP

It was an awesome place to work at as a student. I learned so much and got exposed to such great research.
