    Pros

Great people to work with. Supervisor and Manager are very ameable and like when you want to help out in other areas when there is down time

    Cons

Heavy work load can appear out of no where!

    Advice to Management

Most people live on the MTA. Be open to "queit" business hours on weekends to help Data Entry Staff meet deadlines case by case over the weekend. No one wants to be in the office after 5pm and have to have a 2 hour commute home.

I worked at CAPS Payroll full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    1. Free bagels once a week.
    2. Depending on your team, capable of working from home.
    3. 4 floating holidays.
    4. Decent medical/dental/vision plan.
    5. $100 credit per month towards your cell phone bill.

    Cons

    1. High turnaround within all departments.
    2. Outsourced employment.
    3. Relatively low budget for a software driven company.
    4. Impossible to receive raises.
    5. Unprofessional behavior from the CIO.

    Advice to Management

Please be professional and avoid yelling and throwing a tantrum. This ain't high school. Try and retain and reward your employees. We are the back bone of the company. Without great people this place is nothing!

I worked at CAPS Payroll full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good operational staff that tries hard to deliver good service

    Cons

Weak management that does not appreciate or fully support staff.

    Advice to Management

    Wake up.
FYI Johnathan Goldrich listed as CEO was not CEO and has not worked there for several years.

    Pros

Great work environment with clean offices and great management.

    Cons

Does not provide a clear path for advancement or promotion. Could have better training classes to have people acquire more skills.

    Advice to Management

Have a more defined path for advancement. Also optional training classes to better help with advancement.

I have been working at CAPS Payroll full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Leadership, Growth, Raises, Bonuses, and a fun work place.
The ability to handle your own clients at your own pace with a tremendous amount of help at your disposal is wonderful. Fun work events are a major plus!

    Cons

Cliques at the work place are always a con, but it happens when you have a friend referral program.

    Advice to Management

Trust in the good employees. Listen and watch when the same mistakes and errors occur in the workplace. Some people get away with a lot of lag at the job because they know the right people.

I worked at CAPS Payroll full-time

    Pros

Can't think of any. Worst office I have ever stepped foot in. If you have zero clue about the office environment, you'll think its great without knowing you are being worked like a slave. No professional office is like this dump.

    Cons

Staff is rude and won't say hi to coworkers if they don't know or need you . Even people you think are ok will make eye contact and say nothing. People are miserable and think this is the best job they will ever have which is so sad. Or they are just stuck. Rude, over worked and unfriendly people throughout the office.

    Advice to Management

Respect everyone. Fire the bad apples in management! Talk to your staff and know their work ethic personally without relying on other people for feedback. Terribly unfair!

I worked at CAPS Payroll full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

With all my honesty I cannot think of one thing that made me believe they cared about us as people; low compensation, managers that looked down on us, overworked, you name it they just don't care...

    Cons

I left a year ago because I couldn't take it anymore, and it makes me so sad to know a few of my former co-workers still have to deal with the lack of care and respect CAPS has for them... I can say with all honesty these "positive" reviews are completely fabricated because if you work here for a week or two you would realize all the negative reviews are essentially spot on.

If you find yourself working here my best advice is to please be careful with the people around you, yes there are a few nice honest people here but its those who pretend to be your friend who will do everything they can to hurt your professional growth, that is what I had to learn and I hope you take this advice to heart. Work to provide for yourself and family and use CAPS to help you gain the skills you need to find another job, that is the best advice I can give you.

    Advice to Management

Be fair and please stop abusing the people you have.

I worked at CAPS Payroll full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really very few. For someone who is looking to learn, grow and be part of a cutting edge and collaborative environment there couldn't be a worse place to work than CAPS Payroll. Upper management is solely concerned with the sale of the company to actually be bothered with treating their staff ethically or servicing their clients efficiently.

Unfortunately some really great people and hard workers who come to the company to join a "team" quickly suffer from the egos and poor management skills of higher ups. This leads to CAPS not being able to keep staff for very long and not being able to deliver on promises, to both their employees and clients.

    Cons

    - Horrible communication and treatment of staff. Lots or secretive business decisions go down and staff is always last to find out but first to be effected.

    - Loads or internal bickering and backstabbing which takes away from the job at hand.

    - Little to no effort placed on building company morale or keeping employees happy

    - HR is a joke. Never had a performance review in 4 years, in cahoots with upper management and no support given to employees who present issues to them.

    - Tech. department is clearly fleecing the company as they continually fail to produce software solutions that can compete with other companies and the ones they do offer are mediocre at best.

    - Departments are led by individuals with little to no financial accounting or entertainment business experience. This leads to a complete lack of authority and an inability to manage staff or clients.

    - There are a few real creeps in this office. While one of them was arrested for child pornography and no longer works for the company, there is another that is still there who outwardly and continuously sexually harasses his revolving door of female staffers. Management and HR remain silent despite these outwardly actions and claims from former staff.

    Advice to Management

I would love to give advice to upper management but unfortunately they are not concerned with how their employees feel or are treated so it would be pointless to even offer them advice. Wouldn't want to bruise their precious egos.
