Kimberly Inskeep is a control freak and is running the company out of business. Reps have to buy the sample line every season ($2,500 per time) and have zero input unto the samples, products or sizes they receive. Credit card fees are dumped onto the Stylists which is unethical and shows how fragile the company is. No trips, no year end bonuses, nothing to motivate the reps. Travel twice a year is required and Stylists are burdened with all of those costs as well. Leaders are guilted into “volunteering” for everything imaginable - their time is not compensated in ANY way. Kimberly (and the Founders as well as Cheryl Higgins) have created and nurtured a culture of fear - no one ever DARES speak up or ask hard questions. Stylists are leaving in droves due to the toxic environment, growth has been in the negative for years. The Company has been in the red since 2011. Unsustainable decreases in new Stylists, renewing Stylists and Sales. The Company that once was a beacon of opportunity for women, is long gone.

-women-run -great employee discount on product -generally you make good friends

-they promote “lateral movement” within the company as a means to manipulate you into taking on more duties (usually duties that could be their own unique positions) for no extra pay. -there is pressure to take on more duties so that you can maybe be promoted down the line. This isn’t guaranteed, takes a minimum of 3-5 years, and is contingent on someone leaving the company and you just take their spot. The extra duties that you take on to “prove yourself” don’t guarantee this. So essentially, it’s sink or swim, because they chew you up and spit you out. -for the duties required, it is severely underpaying -almost always you’re met with passive aggressiveness when asking questions/seeking to better understand something. -no bonuses, no raises (other than what is required by California law). -no formal system in place for employee accountability. If you have a problem with another employee, management pushes you to handle it on your own with them and refuses to be any sort of intermediary. -management always talks about money in a way that is extremely concerning about the overall company health.
