    I worked at CB&I full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice facilities, great co-workers. Good salary and benefits. Direct supervisors were incredible.

    Cons

CB&I sold off our division and laid off employees that didn't fit into the new company's "vision". CEO was clueless when relating to people that work for a living.

    Advice to Management

It's too late. The new company takes over in two weeks.

I have been working at CB&I full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good Benefits. safety driven.

    Cons

Do not promote and give raises as promised at hire even though praised for outstanding job saving company extra expenses. Choose employees for promotion based on years there even if they are less qualified.. I mean dumb as dirt.. cant do a ob unless they google it and they get the job before someone who can work circles around the other.

    Advice to Management

Really look at employees and their value to the company indepthly before promoting individuals based on years. Talk to local Management in the Wilmington office and explain to them they should not lead people on in hiring and mislead them or misrepresent the companies raise and salary process. Also tell management in Wilm to stop be so lazy.. you request something and they say they are going to do it and it takes months to follow through..they hire for one position and then change your job 1000% and hire new people and then let them do the job you are hired for in the first place. No respect. Total liars...

I have been working at CB&I full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There are no benefits of working at CB&I unless you like digging in trash literally for the boneheads in E&I. Absolutely the worst most mismanaged company I have ever seen and now they are headed for bankruptcy.

    Cons

Everything from the working environment to the morons who call themselves managers. E&I is a total disaster along with Capital Services. They won't be around for much longer.

    Advice to Management

    You're fired

I have been working at CB&I full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Reasonable benefits platform, small to large EPC projects to work on, lots of room to contribute, diverse backlog, lots of initiatives underway to improve the company

    Cons

Large organization but still learning how to grow from the small companies it acquired to grow, track record of regular reorganization, recently becoming much more political than it used to be, talent management is inconsistent across different units

    Advice to Management

Invest more in creating pathways for employees to be engaged in development

    I worked at CB&I full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great group of people to work with.
Room for growth and people to help you get there.
Great programs, classes, and professional groups for networking.
    Overall great place to work.

    Cons

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this particular group within the company. Other groups may be different, but this was the best job I have ever had. I was promoted with the help of my boss to advance my career. If I could have my current job and still be under the same management, my work life would be perfect!

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

    Advice to Management

Compensate people for the work they do. New employees seem to be compensated better than those that have worked for the company longer.
