    Pros

The best thing I got out of CBI was the confidence in my ability to tackle any task put in front of me but even that was due to a lack in support.

    Cons

When I worked there it felt like being pushed in the deep end and left to fend for yourself. There were power struggles within the team and a strong presence of managers rather than leaders. The company prides itself on its values that were proudly displayed around the office and on marketing pieces but seemed to go against many of them. It was a very tense and unprofessional environment. Cross training in other industries and teams was actually frowned down upon rather than encouraged. The pay and lack of acknowledgement made it easy to move on.

    Advice to Management

I hope that the company has made drastic changes since I left but if they haven't I would recommend paying attention to what your employees are asking for. Trust your employees and guide them when they need it. Balance out work better instead of letting the ambitious ones take on more than they should and the lazy ones slide by with no repercussion. Don't allow managers to belittle and look down on their team. Make leaders.

I worked at CBI Group as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is a staffing agency, so you can make great contacts with top recruiters that can assist you later in your job search. The staff is very friendly and willing to give you advice to help make you more marketable for future endeavors. They went far beyond what I expected from a staffing agency. They genuinely cared about helping you transition after your contract ended.

    Cons

I did not face any challenges because this was a contracting job.
