    Pros

    Excellent top rated company; fair and all business. CBRE is diversified and well balanced. There are multiple disciplines avaiable. Rated highly by rating sources.

    Cons

    Cons are few. Teh company is diverse as stated and that can be an impediment to finding a match for your skills, although the job search system is very good.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work. Strategy development and transition to execution is a strength and definetely a string differentiator. Diversity is also a strength.

    I have been working at CBRE full-time

    Pros

    GWS is an outsourcing business for corporate clients that need Real Estate Services. I sit onsite of the company that contracts with CBRE. Even though I am not based in CBRE offices, there is a strong sense of being a CBRE employee that comes from managements relentless belief in "RISE values." There's a lot of room to grow.

    Cons

    There aren't as many resources as necessary to "find your path." It definitely take self-motivation and self-advocacy.

    Advice to Management

    More mentorship programs and encouragement to try new things after being at company for certain period of time.

    Pros

    If you want to work or do work in the commercial real estate services industry than you should aspire to work for CBRE. It’s quite simply the best commercial real estate services firm in the world. If you don’t work for CBRE, you are putting yourself at a competitive disadvantage. CBRE’s top professionals are simply the best at they do and dominate their respective fields. There is so much incredible talent at this firm!

    Cons

    Benefits are not great and far from what you would expect from a Fortune 250 company.

    Advice to Management

    Take care of your top professionals. Your competitors want them badly. Specifically those top professionals in their 30’s and 40’s.

    Pros

    There’s always plenty of work to keep you busy.

    Cons

    I can only speak about their EFM business.

    Per my title, CBRE’s EFM businessis smoke and mirrors. Their salespeople promise completely unobtainable results to the client then throw it over the wall to let someone else drown.

    They don’t invest in the business or their employees. They talk about retaining talent but don’t offer tuition reimbursement. Raises are non-existent. The politics are a waste of time and resources. Work like balance is garbage.

    If you want to work your butt off for lower than average money and little to no appreciation then this place is for you. Otherwise there are better firms out there.

    Advice to Management

    Open your eyes. You won’t be the biggest for long because you’re running a terrible business. Try showing your human assets a little more appreciation once in a while.

    I have been working at CBRE full-time

    Pros

    Very nice, stable, hardworking people there.

    Cons

    Not much chance of advancement. Very large and disorganized. Sometimes it feels very much like you're trying to park an ocean liner in compact car parking space. Also very corporate and uptight. Very few benefits for employees and the insurance is expensive and complicated.

    Advice to Management

    Reward and acknowledge your employees more, not just the all-powerful broker who brings in the cash. There are LOTS of other people working there that are propping that broker up.
