I have been working at CBRE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Yearly bonus, training and advancement opportunities, commitment to customer service.

    Cons

Quality of management varies drastically depending on which service line/account you work in. Office environment can be heavily political. Lack of coordinated training depending on department. Little accountability in management if they know the right people.

    Advice to Management

Have a consistent training program for new employees. Listen to feedback, and be willing to act on it.

    I worked at CBRE full-time

    Pros

REAS does a good job with employee moral boosting activities and events. It's a nice location with great facilities.

    Cons

Drastically underpaid and under appreciated by management in the team given the amount of money we moved on a daily basis. Cash Managers and Supervisors are quick to blame and are only out to help themselves. No one respects anyone with a lesser job title than them within the Cash Management team.

I have been working at CBRE as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company works well with you on your contract job

    Cons

When the contracting company cuts back you have to find a new position. The company does not find one for you.

    Pros

Ability to work from home is nice. Benefits are decent, not great. Ability to relocate. Big company and big accounts.

    Cons

Boss is clueless. Client is more important than employees. Teams are not collaborative. Upper management is disconnected from the employee they supervise.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to employees.

    Pros

    Cons

Very repetitive, should be heavily remote and WFH.

I have been working at CBRE full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Enjoy working with the tenants & vendors in keeping the property run smoothly.

    Cons

Management does not take into consideration that the RESC & RESA are the backbone of the property(s).

    Advice to Management

Everyone who works for CBRE should be treated equally when it comes to year end bonuses. When you work extremely hard the entire year and don't receive recognition, it truly makes you feel not appreciated or valued in your own position.

I have been working at CBRE full-time

    Pros

Very nice, stable, hardworking people there.

    Cons

Not much chance of advancement. Very large and disorganized. Sometimes it feels very much like you're trying to park an ocean liner in compact car parking space. Also very corporate and uptight. Very few benefits for employees and the insurance is expensive and complicated.

    Advice to Management

Reward and acknowledge your employees more, not just the all-powerful broker who brings in the cash. There are LOTS of other people working there that are propping that broker up.

I worked at CBRE full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It was a stable, growing organization with many opportunities within the company

    Cons

It was a larger corporation and sometimes harder to implement newer ways of adding to the existing processes. Also, harder to move up in the company, a lot of corporate politics involved, theatrics, etc.

    Advice to Management

They should treat their employees better, not like disposable (replaceable) beings...although everyone is replaceable, employees should not perceive this from management
