I worked at CBRE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

CBRE provides great opportunities for advancement and is a great place to get exposure to many different companies. Most of the positions are contracted out for another company. This can be good in one way and bad in another.

    Cons

Salary is low compared to other companies for the same positions. Being on contract is not always good because if that contract ends you may be without of a job. Benefits are a little expensive.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. When you get complaints about Directors or if the entire team leaves, please check things out. There is a reason!

I have been working at CBRE full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to have on resume. Every site/client is different so depending on client you can have a great experience.
CB alow for flexible schedules which is a big plus.

    Cons

No support from HR or upper management. If you have an issue that needs their assistance, you are completely on your own. You will be completely slammed with managing your building but CBRE will also expect you to implement a lot of their processes. Again no support.

    Advice to Management

Give managers support, don't roll out new processes you expect to be implemented without explanation.

    I worked at CBRE full-time

    Pros

Great band, great training provided, national company

    Cons

Managers are the breadwinners but are supported by strong administrative teams that get little to no recognition as far as pay. How is it that I can do the managers job and getting half the pay?

    Advice to Management

Offer better pay for your real estate coordinators. The ones worth keeping will leave if they are not compensated fairly. This is not an entry level job, but the pay is.

I have been working at CBRE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large company, exposure to many fortune500 companies through exposure as vendor. Great hands on experience and large teams.

    Cons

Lack of connection to upper management outside of each site or the offsite HR. Minimum benefits.

    Advice to Management

HR should make more of a connection and job growth should be a topic. Directors should conduct more skip levels since they are not physically present to observe their management. This is a common pain for employees.
