    Pros

    Good pay, bonus, and benefits.

    Cons

They are focused on profit, not necessarily what is best for their clients.

    Advice to Management

Do what is best for the client, not CBRE profit.

I have been working at CBRE full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work from home twice a week. Lax attire.

    Cons

Below average salaries compared to market, expensive health insurance

    Advice to Management

Focus on retention as over 20% of staff left the company, hire the right managers who want to be leaders and care about the morale of their team.

I worked at CBRE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Networking opportunities, some growth opportunities (if you know who talk to)

    Cons

Too much drama and preferential treatment, not enough oversight of and attention paid to employees at the bottom

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what's going on with employees at the non-corporate level.

I have been working at CBRE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is really nice and the office environments is incredibly supportive and welcoming. There are a lot of perks like Summer Fridays and relaxed vacation and sick days. Most teams are very easy to work with. And the HR dept is 5 star

    Cons

Too easy, and too slow. There are many days and hours where I have so little to do. And if you have a bad desk you're screwed. You have no say where you sit.

    Advice to Management

If there are empty desks that people can use, just give them to the people who have worked here and plan to stay. Stop giving visitors nice desks its not fair.

I worked at CBRE full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits. Good programs to support the community. I liked being able to work from home a couple days a week.

    Cons

It takes a long time to get promoted. I didn't have a good manager which made things stressful. He'd always need to go to his supervisor if he wasn't sure on how to make a decision. Even the simple issues. I don't think upper management has any clue what's going on with the employees.

    Advice to Management

Train your managers so they know how to manage staff.

    I worked at CBRE full-time

    Pros

    Large company potential advancement opportunities

    Cons

No local support from local CBRE office, you feel like you are on an island adrift.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be better integration with the local CBRE offices for employees on the client side of the business as there was none.

I worked at CBRE full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you have a great direct manager, you will have a great experience...

    Cons

... problem is they are few and far between... Regardless, you have to take a very assertive lead of your own professional development -- if you don't complain and work hard and make your clients happy, the company has little incentive to move you around.
