    Pros

The people who work there are really in tune with there faith making them a joy to be around and a pleasure to work with.

The hours that we received were not always the best. Also sometimes the events were not managed in the right way.

I worked at CCV full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    • Great benefits: matching 403b, discounts,
    • Great worship experience on the weekend

    Cons

    • Forced to tithe your income to CCV as an employee
    • Rapidly changing requirements and timetables
    • Nepotism and favoritism biases can make or break your career here
    • Functions more like a business than a church
    • Unhelpful coworkers and management

    Advice to Management

I think in a lot of the business requirements and drive to employ the latest technology, this organization has lost sight of how to truly shepherd those working for it in a Christ-like way. I, for one, was brought on to do work that I was told I would be trained in, and then requirements shifted drastically and I was left to drown. It is a very difficult and draining place to start your career, and the unstable nature of the work makes it very difficult to grow and feel confident about what you're doing unless you are already an expert in the field.

    I worked at CCV full-time

    Pros

Flexibility, hours, benefits, compensation and friendships

    Cons

Poor management -- especially in HR and in the upper eschalons of the church administration and a true lack of transparency. It is very much a country club membership to be an employee here...doesn't matter your skill set/experience, its all in who you know.

    Advice to Management

There needs to be more accountability and definite transparency. There are different rules and policies and procedures that apply to different employees depending on who you are, who you know and how long you have worked there. There are definitely people immune to the rules and that is not a way to run a church. If the congregation knew some of the behind the scenes mockery that went on...you all would be on the front page of the news and I can tell you...it would NOT make any headline test!!
