I have been working at CDK Global full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great colleagues, good team dynamics, drive and enthusiasm exists in key departments and changes are coming into play with a clear strategic direction from the top down.

    Cons

There are some who have been in the org under previous ownership who do not embrace change and are failing to get onboard with the direction being pursued. There are some true stars within the business who need to be recognised more and given the chance to grow further.

    Advice to Management

Basically we need to get rid of the dead wood, long gone are the days that long service prevails regardless of performance. Accountability is key and everyone should be held accountable for their contribution to the business.

I have been working at CDK Global full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun and laid back work pace. Decent pay. Free coffee, cool work environment. Friendly people to talk to, lots of community events

    Cons

Micro management, not what I had signed up for in the actual resume. I was told in orientation that our work environment would be one way and it's turned out to be the opposite. Our hardware is all junk and breaks constantly and our clients know it.

    Advice to Management

Less micro management. Let the employees have fun and be more loose like you said it would be in the orientation. Stop using Kyocera printers, they're garbage.

    Pros

    1) Good Work life balance, no pressure outside of working hours.

    Cons

    1) Support process are pathetic
    2) India management is poor and lacklustre, management is clueless about the support and it's complexities.

    Advice to Management

Choose managers carefully, leads should understand the product and market complexity before rubbing over analysts.

I have been working at CDK Global full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people are friendly. The pay is reasonable for the job. There is a new focus on delivering a better service. It's a decent place to work.

    Cons

It's a roller coaster ride of changes lately, and some seem arbitrary or illogical. Management retains employees based on geography, and not ability or willingness to help clients. Success is measured by how long clients wait to reach us, regardless of whether we're any help at all to them.

    Advice to Management

Give employees more mentoring and learning opportunities. I hear the talk from the top, and it doesn't reflect my experience day to day. You talk "speed", my experience is "inertia".

I have been working at CDK Global full-time

    Pros

Support is a forward thinking department within the business. Very under rated for the Job they do, a real talented pool of individuals who are a pleasure to work with. The support role is challenging, however this is the reward as every day is different and learning is consistently ongoing. If you have a head for problem solving this is the role for you. You will not be disappointed.

    Cons

The management team locally try very hard to engage all within their teams however some times even they are powerless to certain business decisions that occur that can cause unease within the team.

    Advice to Management

Like all large companies there is a drive to reduce cost which can cause unease. Senior managers get out more among the team, even if it's just a 30 min walk around the office with a coffee, that can do wonders.

I have been working at CDK Global full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1. Awesome work balance.
    2. CDK has both latest tech stack as well as old tech stack and proprietary language too. It purely depends on which project you are dealing with.
    3. Flexible on timings on most of the projects (Purely depends on Manager)
    4. Being a product based company, salaries are good
    5. Few of the projects follow best practices which is a good learning scope for a techie
    6. WFH option is also available (In the hands of management)

    Cons

    1. Management doesn't appreciate the hard workers
    2. Flattery plays a crucial role in personal development of an associate
    3. If an associate leaves the company then HR will not give required documents until we ask them (Ex associate's concern)
    4. Few of the associates who doesn't have technical knowledge are surviving in CDK as a developer

    Advice to Management

Stop showing interest to particular persons in team. Being an agile team, we should consider all as equal.

I worked at CDK Global full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Hard workers
    -Good team members
    -Nice office
    -Pleasant location
    -Decent pay

    Cons

    -Consultants
    -Ivory Tower Executives
    -Mis Prioritization
    -HR is a total mess
    -Onboarding is a mess
    -Training new employees is non-existent
-Benefits are not top tier...average to just below average for this generation

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to who is being eliminated. It may not look key on paper but you are redistributing work to others that are already overworked. Can it be done? Yes. Is it truly going to be profitable with regards to moral and turnover in the long run? No. Also, the EAs seem to be a bit on the unpleasant and overly involved side of things. Many have a poor reputation throughout the company and that also leads to a poor representation of leadership.

I worked at CDK Global full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed traveling for work and not having to go into an office everyday.

    Cons

This company does not care how many hours you work or care about work-life balance especially direct managers. Senior leadership tries really hard to change company culture. However it is difficult to change a company's culture when you have people who don't understand it managing employees.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of your managers without education who do not understand how to manage and Lead teams. Understand how to treat your employees and make them feel valued and pay them what they're worth because they'll go somewhere else.
