    CEA has always had a strong management structure.
    Research is organized in projects, meaning you know what you are working for.

    Cons

    Decision processes can sometimes be long and involve many people.
    There is pressure on funding, in particular from public sources.

    Advice to Management

    Keep developing research on non-nuclear, and not only nuclear, CO2-free energy.
    Don’t lose CEA’s scientific and technical excellence.

    Pros

    It is a mysterious place for foreigners like me before I have the chance to join the lab. A great place to meet brilliant people with various backgrounds. Learn how to do research in French-style.

    Cons

    Without sufficient financial support in biological research, it will be a little difficult to get enough data for papers in a short time.

    Advice to Management

    More convenient internet support, less bureaucratic management, more friendly for english-speaking researchers.
