I worked at CERTI Foundation as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, willing to help on projects
    Various projects at national scale
    Multiple international partnerships
    Flexible hours

    Cons

    Unclear potential for internal growth

    Advice to Management

Please continue to contribute to growth of work force. If possible, offer more extensive resources or courses to develop more useful skills. Additionally, more personal interaction and sharing of ideas within the building itself and other branches of CERTI would be very interesting to have.

I worked at CERTI Foundation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked in CERTI as a Software developer. They have a good work environment and team is really social. The projects variety is very wide and one can work on many different areas developing software for many different platforms.

    Cons

Although it is a great place to learn and start your career, they didn't have a outlined career plan for the employees. Sometimes the instructions to grow were a bit vague and not well defined.

    Advice to Management

Work on a well defined career plan and stick to it!

I worked at CERTI Foundation part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Able to participate in trainings, inside the university campus, strong interaction with university and academic research, very pleasant atmosphere and environment, very friendly upper management.

    Cons

Much based on projects and government funded projects which makes it very bureaucratic and slow to move forward. There are a few centers with different core capabilities, but the interaction among them is not as good as it should be.

I worked at CERTI Foundation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Cool technologies
    - Innovative projects
    - You'll learn a lot of stuff.

    Cons

    - Bad employees never are fired!
    - Old fashioned policies like dress code, fixed lunch time and stupid motivational posters in the bathroom.
    - Too much projects for the government. Most of the products wouldn't be successful in the open market. Kind of a bubble (this may be a pro though, depends on your judgement).

    Advice to Management

    - Become more lean and agile.
    - Focus on performance and results. Forget time management and other practices from the 50's.
    - Fire bad employees.

I have been working at CERTI Foundation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Really good environment.
    - Flexible scheduling.
    - Coffe machine.
    - You will be pushed to learn new stuff.
    - Great work/life balance.
    - Good incentives to improve knowledge.

People are friendly and the environment doesn't pressure you over the edge. Usually the projects are very motivating, and although promotions take too long to happen, they point very clearly what you need to accomplish (and what the company needs to accomplish) for you to grow.

    Cons

    - Doesn't pay much.
    - It rellies heavily on projects with associated companies and governments (not self suficient).
    - Lack of parking slots.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. And maybe be a little more transparent.
